They went into Sunday trailing by seven and a half points to the international's ten and a half, despite home advantage and an enormous talent gap. But they won the single section session by nine and a half points to two and a half, meaning the final scoreboard looked pretty lopsided at seventeen thirteen.
But Beamer, does that score line reflect how the event played out over four days?
No, I mean if you watched it the the Americans couldn't quite figure out the team play. at all. They had a good decent first day on Thursday. Then they got completely swept the second day. in foursoms and then came out and, you know, clawed back into it a little bit over over the Saturday, but You know, th they had to come out they had to come out on on Sunday with nothing to lose and everything to gain because that's exactly kind of how it played out. And they they went out there and they they set the tone. I think Justin Thomas's um four up lead through four really kind of inspired the guys uh more than anything, saying, Listen, we gotta follow Justin's lead. We gotta get this thing going. We gotta go out there and start uh w none of us can afford to lose, which uh
Uh thankfully I think only two of 'em did. Um, but listen, w we just we don't play enough team golf. We don't understand and I don't know what what the Issue is but Obviously just because you're good friends doesn't mean that it's a good pairing.
