No one, as a matter of fact, had poisoned Tarion. Instead, he was upchucking because he had read that adventurers always eat ten raw eggs before any quest, and his eggs were expired, so now he, much like myself, was feeling completely fucking useless and exhausted after staying up retching all night long.
I'm sorry I cannot join you, but you must carry on and tarry on without me. Tarion was addressing you, the members of the Darrington Brigade, the band of swords for hire he had assembled in the years after Vox Machina saved Exandria.
