How did the hosts react to World Cup upsets and which teams are favourites?

Simon Doull 0:00
So every beer that I have, an hour is knocked off. So if I have, how many beers is that? So you'll sit at the Cherry Tree all day on... Seven beers and I'm out.
Ash Cameron 0:08
Yeah. And seven palmies and I'm out.
Simon Doull 0:09
I have seven beers in half an hour.
Ash Cameron 0:11
No. No, we need a beer. We need a beer. Cherry Tree. Yeah. That's the pub. That one. Done. Gotta go to the pub from open till 5pm. And every beer knocks off an hour. I'm on dry July, so every palmy knocks over an hour. Man, that's horrible for you. That's so bad. Done. I'll do it.
Simon Doull 0:28
Oh, hey, welcome back. Big Red Shed, you're at wherever you are and happy listening. Thanks for doing footy with us. What a great weekend of football and sport in general. Lots to go through, lots to unpack. We had Northern Pies Friday night. Finally, North get under the bright lights of primetime. We then had the Giants crazy comeback. The G felt like it was underwater all weekend. The Suns are massive sooks and they stink. Let's just get a feel, everyone. Good weekend. Yeah.
Jeremy Howe 0:57
Great weekend.
Simon Doull 0:57
Great weekend. Great weekend. Ash found just a great photo of me. Somehow, bizarrely, World Cup fever's going on. I do have a lot of people that look like me. Paddy Bimler fought in the UFC on the weekend. Ash found me, bizarrely, weirdly, somehow... In Italy, just serving up drinks to some random guy. I don't know who sent it in, Ash. Who sent it in to you? I'll find out.
Jeremy Howe 1:22
Let me just get the photo up first.
Simon Doull 1:23
Okay. Someone sent in, Ash, that is just me in Italy. And it's just one of the all-time just, I guess, doppelgangers. That looks like it's a dead ringer. I can't avoid it. Oh, that is actually me. That is you. I can't even deny that. That's probably the biggest one that's ever looked like me.
Jeremy Howe 1:43
So apparently this is an Italian guy bartender that works in an Irish pub in Italy.
Simon Doull 1:49
Wow. Sorry, that's you. YouTube will see this. If you're obviously listening on Spotify or whatever you listen to us on, it's just a guy that looks just like me, who is an Italian-Irish bartender, which is great. It's a good weekend. Room check before we talk about some sport and everything else going on in the round of football. I spoke about, I don't know when I spoke about, maybe last week or the week before. Don't know when. I said that I Ubered something to my house and someone went, that's the craziest thing ever, to Uber to your house. Does anyone remember what it was?
Ash Cameron 2:18
Twix.
Simon Doull 2:19
Twix? No, I told you in the office.
Ash Cameron 2:20
No, you Ubered all the stuff, the groceries to your house and then the guy did a kickflip. That's right. Oh, Subway. Yeah.
Simon Doull 2:27
I said that I ordered Subway to my house and that's why I Ubered Uber Eats and someone went, oh, that's crazy that you're just getting Subway as Uber Eats. Oh, that feels like an unnecessary thing.
Ash Cameron 2:36
I feel like it's fine.
Simon Doull 2:37
Well, the play on thing to that is I want to get a room check is I've done way worse. I've Uber Eatsed a Kinder Bueno bar and a Twix. Yeah, I rate that. Just by itself. So nothing else. Just a $4 chocolate to my house.
Ash Cameron 2:49
Is that play on? I've been known to doing the Gatorade and Panadol when I've had a severe hangover.
Simon Doull 2:54
See, that's fine because you probably can't leave the house. Yeah, you're not allowed to legally. No. Yeah. And Gatorade's great for hydrating. Exactly. But I feel like I'm being judged for just ordering a single chocolate bar to my house when I easily could have gone just to the road.
Jeremy Howe 3:10
How much is that delivery fee?
Simon Doull 3:11
I think it was $11 in total. Oh, that's good.
Ash Cameron 3:15
Sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do. I've also ordered nail clippers.
Jeremy Howe 3:21
What did you order?
Ash Cameron 3:21
Yeah. Why not? Why don't you just use your teeth if you need them? That is disgusting. That is horrible. I'm not a nail biter, but people bite their nails.
Simon Doull 3:29
They're just crazy. Crazy as Ash puts his hands down. It tickles his neck. Only a few more games of the World Cup.
No.
Simon Doull 3:40
A few more games of the World Cup to go, which is sad. I feel like, you know, when every game was on during the day and we could kind of sit through work or just you can have it on your wake up and there's just four games of the World Cup. Real slow going now. Beginning of the point again, on the weekend, we saw England 2-1 win over Norway, which was great.
