As the X-MEN comics (again) bring back a number of previously deceased characters, we discuss whether this sort of storytelling tactic is still exciting and worthwhile, or just an unnecessary cheat that has devalued the narrative impact of character fates. But first, we address a mistake we made during our review of THE GIFTED, and discuss the historical significance of LOGAN's Oscar nomination (while also trying to remember a bet we once made about the very topic).
