We're also here from the Toyota Lounge, driven by your Front Range Toyota stores. Toyota, the official vehicle of DNVR. We got a little two-man game going today, Vogue. What's up, boss? How are you? We're kind of far away from each other. We kind of are, right? What happened, Gale?
It's probably where they're supposed to be. Can you see me over here? Yeah, I don't know.
I gave you guys a new setup where you have more personal space and you're complaining.
Nope, nope, Cale. No, you slapped us right back in order. Yeah, you're right. Thank you, Cale. You were right. Man, look at this.
I'm going to stretch out over here. If you've ever been on a plane next to Adam, you're just like, hey man, do you just want my seat? I'll go find a new seat.
If you've ever been on a plane as Adam, it sucks for that as well. We got a lot to talk about today. Unfortunately, some of it is actually good news for the Denver Nuggets. But there is some injury updates from practice. You were there today, and we're going to talk about those. There's also injuries around the association, man. Minnesota, the Lakers, and Denver all banged up, and their future now in doubt, their playoff future in doubt in terms of how good can they be. I have some fun questions for you later in the show, too. That's exciting. Like how many times is Jokic going to average a triple-double in his career? Is Murray going to set a new career high past this? I just want to think about it. There's some fun ones, and then we're going to talk about the end.
The straw poll. Oh, perfect. You wanted to talk about the straw poll, right?
That's what I texted you this morning.
You said it.
Can we talk about if we can talk about anything today?
Yeah, the MVP straw poll. There is some interesting news, though, in the straw poll that I don't even you probably didn't even look at it, did you? I did not. I was going to say a price out, but there's a surprise in there. But first, let's get to practice notes and let's begin with the injury update portion of practice notes.
Yeah, a little housekeeping on the injuries. Peyton Watson did not practice today. David Adelman described it as a week-to-week thing.
All right, there's one week left in the season, and it starts now.
Yep, yep. So does that mean this week's out? So there was a follow-up like, are you targeting the first week of the playoffs? And Adelman said, well, if it was up to me, it would be next week. That doesn't sound as likely. Hamstring strain was the language used. So Peyton Watson week to week with a hamstring strain. It is that same hamstring. He had mentioned that day one for him upon return went well. Days two and three, it felt a little... More sore, I suppose would be the word. And now it seems he's re-aggravated it. So another hamstring strain for Peyton Watson. Spencer Jones, I saw somewhere on the internet listed as a hamstring strain. I don't know if that language is correct because Adelman described him as day to day.
So that might just be hamstring tightness. Maybe it's a minor strain. Either way, Spencer Jones did not practice today.
Well, there's a literal hamstring strain diagnosis, and then there's a – like you could say, oh, what do you have? I have a cold or I have the flu, but it might not actually be the flu. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like the strain is used that way sometimes.
Sometimes, yes.
Unscientific.
Spencer Jones, let's call it hamstring discomfort, whatever it is, did not practice today. He is day-to-day. Like right now I'm straining my hamstring. That's right. But it's not strained. You didn't strain it. Tim Hardaway Jr. did go through all of practice today. I kind of did, though. I don't know. He will be reevaluated tomorrow, though. That's how they like to do it with these things. He'll go through his pregame routine.
