Yes, don't forget about Facebook either. We're going to start this episode off with how we do every single freaking week with what's exciting us this week. And we just wrapped up week one of training camp. Mr. Reblankenship, what's it? like down there in Houston, Texas right now? Down in H-Town?
I'll tell you one thing that stands out is the heat.
What does week one of NFL training camp look like for the Eagles and Texans?
First week, first week it was pretty hot, and I'm banking on it being hot the rest of training camp. But it is fun. They take care of us. We have a couple breaks. We have the big ice box that we can take breaks in. Like I said, it's great. I'm having a blast. Coop, what's it like being back in Philly, brother?
It's amazing, brother. It's amazing. Being back out there with the guys, playing some ball, getting to compete against our teammates. It wasn't too hot the first couple days, but then yesterday it got pretty humid. and it was pretty hot outside, sweating quite a bit. It's good to see, like, all the fans and stuff, too, you know, when they come to practices and things like that, get to interact with some of the kids, some of the youth from around the city, which is pretty cool. But, yeah, it's great to be back on the football field. The football's back, man. Football's back. Yeah, it's been... It's been fun so far. What do you mean you got an icebox, by the way? What is that?
Yeah, so obviously the heat down here is pretty intense. So the Texans have this big, I wouldn't say it's like as big as like a double-wide trailer, you know? Yeah. But it's legit. You open the door, and it has like two rows of metal benches. And I think it's cooled down to like 50-something degrees. And so we can all just sit in there and when we have a break, like, you know, sometimes you have like a water break. Yeah.
How does the Texans’ “Ice Box” help players beat the heat?
We can go in there and chill out for a little bit just to bring our core temperature back down because it gets so hot and you get so high. So, yeah. Honestly, I already got a section up in there, you know? But it comes in handy, bro. It comes in clutch. I'm glad they have that because you need it. You need it to kind of bring you back down.
Do you think you get more tired, though, like when you're hot and then you cool down and then you got to go back in the heat or no?
No, because it's not like you stay in there for like 30 minutes. I probably was in there – three or four, three minutes probably, three or four minutes. It's just enough just to, all right, bring you back down, chill out for a little bit, and then you're back at it. So it's not like you get in there and... You're posted up for 20 minutes chilling.
What time do you get there every day, and what time are you leaving? How long are your days during training camp? Tell the people how intense training camp is.
Yeah, training camp is so fun. I'm on central time, so I get up and leave my house around 5.30 and get there around 6.00. So I'm there from 6 until 7 or 7.30. PM? PM, yeah. What time do you guys practice every day in the morning? We practice at 9 Central, so it'll be 10 Eastern.
