Chapter 1: What is the hot topic at the World Economic Forum?
An icy territory is the hot topic at the World Economic Forum. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News. All the United States is asking for is a place called Greenland.
This land on which we're going to build the greatest golden dome ever built. That's the U.S.
missile defense system he's planning.
But this would not be a threat to NATO. This would greatly enhance the security of the entire alliance, the NATO alliance. The United States is treated... Very unfairly by NATO.
Chapter 2: How is the U.S. addressing the Greenland situation?
But some NATO allies are pushing back, supporting Denmark, which says Greenland is not for sale. That has the president planning 10% tariffs on those European countries, which are considering a retaliation. President Trump also in his speech in Davos called again for Russia and Ukraine to stop their war.
And I'm dealing with President Putin, and he wants to make a deal, I believe. I'm dealing with... President Zelensky, and I think he wants to make a deal. I'm meeting him today. He might be in the audience right now.
His special envoy, Steve Witkoff, plans talks today with Russia's leader. The president's done with his speech. He's now answering questions at the forum, and he told world and business leaders there... Growth is exploding.
Productivity is surging. Investment is soaring. Incomes are rising.
And he again urged the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates even more, hinting he'll soon nominate a new chairman to replace Jerome Powell, who the president is very critical of. Powell is now at the Supreme Court, where a Federal Reserve board governor is asking justices to let her keep her job in a case being heard this hour about the limits of presidential power.
President Trump said he fired Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook for cause. After the Federal Housing Finance Agency accused her of committing mortgage fraud, she sued and she said she hasn't been charged with anything. Her name came up in another recent case when justices considered whether the president could fire an FTC commissioner without cause.

Chapter 3: What are President Trump's views on NATO and security?
The S&P 500 adding 51 points. The price of oil barely budging. It's up a penny. Still around 60 bucks a barrel. Gas is up a penny this morning. AAA's national average for regular now 283 per gallon. That's still 29 cents less than a year ago. And President Trump in his Davos speech also talked about energy again.
calling renewables a green scam, especially wind, saying China has figured that out as the biggest maker of windmills. China's very smart.
They make them. They sell them for a fortune. They sell them to the stupid people that buy them. But they don't use them themselves.
The president also touted how Venezuela is going to make a fortune as the U.S. rebuilds the oil industry there. Following the operation that took out leader Nicolas Maduro, who is now jailed in the U.S. on terror and drug charges, another tanker has been seized. And that's something that has gone on in the Caribbean.
Armed forces boarded and took control of the ship known as the Saginaw on Tuesday. Part of the Trump administration's broader efforts to take control of the country's oil. U.S. Southern Command says the tanker was operating in defiance of President Trump's established quarantine of sanctioned vessels in the Caribbean. The Saginaw is a Liberian flag tanker.
Its registration says it is owned and managed by a company in Hong Kong. It was sanctioned by the Treasury Department under an executive order relating to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. A social media post by Southern Command indicated the ship had taken oil from Venezuela. Tom Rigotti, Fox News.
House Republicans are getting ready to take action against former President Clinton and Hillary Clinton, working up resolutions to hold them in contempt of Congress for ignoring subpoenas that Clinton's called unlawful when they refuse to show up for depositions in the investigation into the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scheme involving underage girls. I'm Dave Anthony and this is Fox News.
