There is a sell-off again on Wall Street. The Dow is dropping another 422 points. The Nasdaq is falling 268. Artificial intelligence company Anthropic has won an injunction that pauses the Trump administration's designation of Anthropic as a supply chain risk. Federal Judge Rita Lynn of the Northern District of California wants the government to provide a report by April 6th on how it complied with her ruling. The government imposed the designation following the AI company's dispute with the Pentagon in which Anthropic wanted to impose limitations on its AI tools in a military setting. Judge Lin, who was appointed in the Biden administration, says the government's actions appear to be designed to punish anthropic, not directed at national security interests. A new study by Stanford University researchers published Thursday in the journal Science found various artificial intelligence chatbots are prone to validating their human users and often give advice that can damage relationships and reinforce harmful behaviors.
