There's a mixed reading on the job market.

Job creation appears to be holding up.

If you look at the big picture, the Labor Department's Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey found 6.88 million new positions on the last business day of February.

That's a slight decline, though January's job growth was revised much higher to 7.2 million available positions, an upward revision of 294,000 jobs.

The government says additional reports were received from businesses and government agencies since the report was initially compiled.

In February, job openings decreased in accommodation, which is hotels and food services, and mining and logging.

Artificial intelligence company Anthropic has won an injunction that pauses the Trump administration's designation of Anthropic as a supply chain risk.

Federal Judge Rita Lynn of the Northern District of California wants the government to provide a report by April 6th on how it complied with her ruling.

The government imposed the designation following the AI company's dispute with the Pentagon in which Anthropic wanted to impose limitations on its AI tools in a military setting.

Judge Lin, who was appointed in the Biden administration, says the government's actions appear to be designed to punish anthropic, not directed at national security interests.

Warner Brothers Discovery.

has approved a new bid from Netflix that is all cash.

It previously was offering cash and Netflix common stock.

The bid is for studios and HBO Max streaming service.

The value of the Netflix offer remains at $72 billion.

The companies hope to vote on the deal by April, though Paramount continues to push its own all cash offer.

If the Netflix deal goes through, a separate business will exist called Discovery Global and will house CNN, TNT, and the Food Network.
