Democrats blocked the new funding, demanding immigration enforcement reform, including unmasking agents, though ICE and Border Patrol operations still continue, already funded by the big, beautiful bill. And the anti-ICE anger has spread to Columbia and New York City. where the university has stopped promoting a Homeland Security career expo set for Wednesday showcasing job opportunities.
When this listing appeared on one of Columbia's career websites, some students and faculty were left outraged. Columbia's chapter of Young Democratic Socialists of America took a screen grab from Columbia's website. The student group then posted it on social media with the label, Fascist State Violence.
