Millions brace for a weekend snow and ice storm. I'm Sue Guzman, Fox News. Meteorologists warning that a stretched polar vortex could bring severe weather to much of the U.S. later this week. Warm Arctic waters and cold continental air combining to send sub-zero temperatures, heavy snow. and ice across the eastern two-thirds of the country.
12 to 20 inches of snow is predicted for the northeast this weekend, including metropolitan New York. President Trump backing off a tariff threat to Europe, claiming a deal on Greenland. More from Fox's Jared Halpern.
President Trump emerged from a meeting with NATO Secretary General in Davos, Switzerland, announcing a framework of a future deal on Greenland in the Arctic.
It's everything we wanted, including especially real national security and international security.
As a result of that framework, the president says he will not impose tariffs on European allies next month. He did not detail specifics, but the framework was announced hours after President Trump insisted U.S. ownership of Greenland was the only way to prevent the Danish territory from facing threats from Russia and China. A Texas jury has delivered its verdict in the case against former Uvalde police officer Adrian Gonzalez, finding him not guilty on 29 charges. Prosecutors allegedly failed to respond to the 2022 shooting for the first few minutes, and police ultimately did not go into the classroom for 77 minutes. Gonzalez telling reporters he's grateful for the outcome.
