We need you to reach out and we need a way to communicate with you so we can move forward. But first, we have to know that you have our mom. We want to talk to you and we are waiting for contact.
Chapter 2: What details emerged from the alleged ransom note in the Guthrie case?
Authorities in Tucson, Arizona say they believe the 84-year-old mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie is still alive, but they lack this key to the investigation.
To be clear, we have nobody of interest or any suspects that you would consider a prime suspect. We're just not there. We're not there yet.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, the FBI is offering a $50,000 reward leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and the arrest of the person or persons responsible. TMZ was one of the first media outlets to receive a copy of the alleged ransom note. TMZ founder Harvey Levin revealing some details about that letter.
I will say the letter begins by saying she is safe but scared. And they go on to say she knows exactly what the demand is.

He faces charges including intent to transmit a demand for ransom. The complaint confirms his texts are not related to a February 2nd ransom letter, which the FBI says it's taking seriously.
