The anti-ice demonstrations here in Minneapolis seem to be getting larger. There was a massive group, a sea of people at Powderhorn Park here in Minneapolis. And that's a notable location because it's where former city council members here initially announced their defund and dismantle the police movement during the George Floyd riots. They sparked a nationwide movement that has now failed. After demonstrations in the park, protesters marched down Lake Street. It was a different scene from what we saw in 2020 when parts of Lake Street were set on fire during the George Floyd riots. Now, Minneapolis police say well over 1,000 protesters and some rioters damaged parts of the Renaissance and Canopy hotels downtown Friday.
And the Department of Homeland Security claims that Renee Nicole Good tried to weaponize her vehicle, quote-unquote, to hit ICE officials. Critics denying that claim. Meantime, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Fox's Sunday Morning Future saying earlier ICE's operations will continue.
And I'll remind everybody that if you get involved and impede a law enforcement operation, you are breaking the law. That is a crime. And at that point in time, that individual needs to be arrested and taken in and charged and convicted.
Meantime, Minnesota Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey saying you don't have to believe either side. He believes the videos are telling the story.

Protests continue to erupt across Iran as the death toll continues to rise. Fox's Madeline Rivera.
More than 2,000 people have been arrested. That's per the Human Rights Activist News Agency. President Trump has promised to intervene if the regime resorts to mass violence. Now the Wall Street Journal reports administration officials have had preliminary conversations about how to carry out an attack if the U.S. does need to follow through. The outlet reporting per U.S. officials, the discussions include what sites might be targeted, One option being discussed is a large-scale aerial strike on multiple Iranian military targets, one of the officials said.
Meantime, Iran has cut Internet connections and some phone lines as well. The U.S. launching a strike on ISIS forces in Syria for the second time in less than a month.
U.S. Central Command released a video showing the strikes. It looks like it followed a similar pattern to the strikes we saw on December 19th. An A-10 Warthog rolling down the strip along with F-15E Strike Eagles carrying out these strikes against ISIS. According to U.S. Central Command, the strikes were widespread across Syria. It included partner forces. It's not clear if that means Syrian forces that the U.S. had partnered with against ISIS or Jordan.
Fox's Lucas Tomlinson with the president in West Palm Beach. Gas prices falling 10 cents over the past three weeks to a national average of $2.89 a gallon. That's according to industry analyst Trilby Lundberg, who publishes the Lundberg survey.
This price is 27 cents lower than it was just seven weeks ago. It's 45 cents lower than it was at its high point of last year, early April. Plus, versus last year, it's a 24-cent discount.
