In his fourth appearance on the ballot, Beltran received just over 84% of votes, while Jones was on 78% of the ballots in his ninth appearance. Beltran played for seven teams over 20 Major League seasons, was a nine-time All-Star, a three-time Gold Glove winner, and one of only five players with at least 400 home runs and 300 steals. Jones, a five-time All-Star and ten-time Gold Glover, spent 17 years in the bigs, but was most known for his time with the Braves, where in 1996 he became the youngest player to homer in a World Series game.
