Fighting continues. I'm Deborah Valentine, Fox News. Iran's parliamentary leader accusing the U.S. of secretly planning a ground invasion in Tehran as fighting continues. Fox's Jonathan Hunt reports from Tel Aviv, Israel.
The missile slammed into southern Israel near the town of Beersheba. sending a huge plume of grey smoke over the area. Apparently it was some sort of chemical facility that was hit. Local residents were told to keep their windows shut and their air conditioning off because of the toxic fumes produced as a result. of that strike. Meantime, the U.S.
continues to hit targets throughout Iran, missile launchers and military manufacturing installations as those 2,500 Marines arrive aboard the USS Tripoli.
Chapter 2: How is the U.S. responding to missile attacks from Iran?
But Iranian officials are saying they are ready for whatever the U.S. does next.
President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth have not ruled out ground operations. Pakistan's foreign minister says Islamabad will soon host talks between the U.S. and Iran. Senate Democrats calling a House-passed contingency bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security debt on arrival.
House Democrats say they'll fund DHS with no more money for ICE. There's been no vote on that bill. Democratic Representative Adam Smith said they have agencies such as TSA in mind. pay them, pay the Coast Guard, pay FEMA. We put it on the table. Why won't Mike Johnson allow a vote? Because tell you something, if he allowed a vote, it would pass.
GOP Senator Tom Cotton said a House bill funding DHS for two months sits before senators, making their goal... A new budget bill that will fund ICE and CBP for probably five or ten years, because we don't think the Democrats will ever fund them again.
