The Air Canada Express flight was being operated by Jazz Aviation LP. President Trump says ICE agents will be deployed to airports across the country today. Sundays are usually pretty busy days at airports nationwide, but nothing like what we are seeing today. These TSA workers not getting paid anything is causing some crazy lines. It's just weaving until they get to the actual TSA checkpoint. About three, four hour waits at this point. People have missed flights. I've been hearing from people who say that they made it just in the nick of time. So very frustrating for passengers and people have been staying positive, but it doesn't make things much better. Listen, I think this is just a sucky situation all around, but I hope they figure something out. I'm not even mad. I mean, I'm like frustrated, but you know, good luck to the workers. And it's not just here in Atlanta.

The agency is identifying the suspect, Jose Medina Medina, and they shared this timeline saying in May 2023, he was apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol and released into the country under the Biden administration. A little more than a month later, the agency says Medina Medina was arrested for shoplifting in Chicago and released out into the streets once again. DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Biss writing in part, quote, We are calling on Governor Pritzker and Chicago's sanctuary politicians to commit to not releasing this criminal illegal alien back into American neighborhoods.
Chicago police have described the shooting as an ambush. They've also recovered a gun and are awaiting a residue test. Evacuation warnings have now been lifted for the north shore of Oahu, but there is more heavy rain in the forecast for the Hawaiian island amid flash flood watches.
