Chapter 1: What recent political developments are impacting the Senate?
One vote away. I'm Daria Albinger, Fox News. A test vote on Oklahoma Senator Mark Wayne Mullen. President Trump's choice to run the Department of Homeland Security got the 51 votes needed to move the nomination ahead. The Senate is expected to vote on Mullen early this week.
travelers are dealing with long lines at airports across the country with the partial government shutdown in its fifth week, Fox's Madison Scarpino at Hartsfield Jackson International Atlanta.
The lines here at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport have been astronomical for the last several days, really, but especially today, people have been waiting for three, four hours in these lines. People are missing flights, some making it just before the boarding doors close. So this has been a lot for people traveling as these TSA officers continue to go with $0 paychecks.
And that is all part of the reason why President Trump is wanting to send in ICE agents to help alleviate some of the stress from these TSA officers, hopefully make these lines go a little bit quicker.

The lengthy statement reads in part, quote, As the case moves forward toward arraignment, the family has been informed that the suspect is a Venezuelan national and additional information is expected to be released. Chicago police are only saying that a person of interest is still being questioned.
The Chicago Tribune says it's obtained police records which indicate witnesses reported a man dressed in all black with a black face mask pointed a gun and fired around as Gorman tried to run away.
