Iran doesn't want to negotiate. I'm Ted Lindner, Fox News. Iran denying participation in negotiations to end the conflict in the Middle East as President Trump is warning of attacks against the country's energy infrastructure. Fox's Mike Tobin with more.
President Trump says serious discussions are taking place. Iran says no talks are taking place. There's a gathering of foreign ministers in Islamabad. They're trying to pave the way for what Pakistan's foreign minister called meaningful talks. An Iranian foreign ministry spokesman says there are no talks. The US demands have been very excessive, unrealistic and illogical.
The meetings that Pakistan has with neighboring countries are, well, a framework they themselves have established. We have not participated in this framework.
President Trump posted, if Iran does not open the Strait, we will conclude our lovely stay in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their electric generating plants, oil wells, and Karg Island and possibly the desalinization plants.
Crude oil prices have surged by approximately 50% this month due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Congress on recess as the DHS funding bill fails to materialize.
