In Northern Liberties, there are still some intrusive snow mounds hanging on. Just this week, the city announced they spent an estimated $59 million in storm-related costs. They say the 13-day stretch of below freezing temperatures turned a traditional plow and melt operation into large-scale snow lifting.
At least two feet of snow and 60 mile per hour winds are forecast for some areas.
