What happened in the Minneapolis shooting involving Border Patrol agents?
shooting in Minnesota. I'm Paul Stevens, Fox News. Fox's Bill Malusian now reports with the latest on that latest shooting.
This was a Border Patrol-involved shooting. This was not ICE. Border Patrol shot somebody who DHS tells Fox News was armed with a gun. They have recovered that gun as well as two magazines. Now, I'm told the person was shot multiple times and that medics were working on them and that CPR was being performed. What we do not know right now is what led up to the shooting or what type of enforcement this was. Was this a targeted immigration enforcement?
What details are known about the individual who was shot?
Did Border Patrol know who this person was? Was it somebody in the U.S. illegally that they were marking for arrest?
This comes as protesters have been protesting federal agents in Minneapolis for weeks after Renee Goode was shot by ice and killed on the 7th of January. The highly anticipated winter storm is underway, threatening to bring snow, sleet, ice, bone-chilling temperatures and excessive power outages to about half of the U.S. population. Fox Weather's Mike Seidel in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
We're 40 degrees below average. We've had anywhere from two to four inches of snow from phase one, but phase two is still on the way. That's for tonight into tomorrow morning. We're still going to end up with about a foot of snow here. The all-time record storm total is 14. A lot of people are just staying home, staying put because of the cold, because of the roads. When the temperature is this cold, even if we get a few peaks of sunshine, melting is going to be pretty much a no-go today. And then after the snow ends tomorrow morning, the warning goes till 3 p.m., it gets even colder. Monday morning, we're going to be below zero, but this is going to stick around right on through the rest of the week as far as melting goes.
Not a whole lot of melting. Highs will struggle to get above freezing as we have reinforcing shots of Arctic air coming in.
Other parts of the South experiencing heavy power outages.
What questions remain unanswered about the shooting incident?

Arrests made in Minnesota during an anti-ice protest.
Protests all over the city yesterday. This was all part of what activists were calling a statewide shutdown to protest ice. And this march and rally they had downtown was just massive. Thousands of people that were out here marching and bundled up in sub-zero temperatures. They were out here marching for a couple of hours demanding that ice leave the city. Over at the airport, more than 100 people were arrested at a demonstration organized by clergy blocking traffic and one of the entrances to the airport to protest deportation flights. And while those protests stayed peaceful, over at the federal Whipple building, officials say a group of agitators showed up with a U-Haul filled with shields and riot gear to try and block agents from being able to head out on operations.
They refused repeated warnings to get out of the road and were eventually cleared out with tear gas and pepper balls.
Fox's Garrett Tenney in Minneapolis.
How have protests against federal agents unfolded in Minneapolis?
A Republican congressman's attendance record is now being questioned.
House GOP leadership had to keep a vote open this week to wait for Congressman Wesley Hunt to cast the deciding vote, killing Democrats' efforts to rein in President Trump's war powers. Hunt has missed numerous votes while campaigning for the Senate in Texas. Hunt did not take questions from reporters after votes this week, but a spokesman for his primary opponent, Senator John Cornyn, tells Fox News Hunt is refusing to fight for President Trump's agenda. Hunt has criticized Cornyn's time in office, saying his record on issues like amnesty don't match the president's agenda. In Washington, Ryan Schmelz, Fox News.
