So it's been a little minute. But the thought process behind this was I wanted a little bit of time so that, you know, as many people could listen to it as possible before we had this debrief because it's going to be the last one of this season. And we have a bunch of of questions that have come through that we're going to work our way through as best we can. And I think most of those questions are going to cover off probably all of the questions that you might have out there.

How did the final episode compare to previous episodes?
Man, I'm good. How are you, bub? Yeah, I'm good. I'm good. As we were just saying before, both busy family men. But yeah, pumped to get into this. So I suppose where we can start is to that final episode. It was... It was like a Ridley Scott length final episode. And, you know, it's kind of this thing that I do as these sort of feature length finals.
What was Ryan's experience interviewing Gus like?
And, you know, hey, I think for some people it might be like, oh, this drag's on so long. But that's kind of the thing. Like I want it to be this long epic, you know. And, you know, we've gone through this whole season together. whole thing and i'm trying to take you along on that that journey the last the last bit of the journey and hey for some people maybe it drags on but i know others love that kind of thing so um so yeah that's why we have that and really so that you can live that final moment with me and i felt that in this particular episode it really was one of those ones where you know there was the journey of going to find gus and finding gus uh and so um Yeah, yeah. So I think two hours and 45 minutes it was.
So I guess what we'll do is we'll start off with this and just get Jacob's thoughts as a listener on the episode and maybe any questions that pop off the top of his mind. And we'll do that and then we'll roll into listener questions.
Yeah, I mean, so first off, just kind of in a really general sense, On a case like this, I mean, there are multiple cases that you took on this season. First of all, just kind of in general, whenever you finally do hit that final upload button, right? Like, all right, that episode is up there for the world to ingest, right? Your listeners can kind of dive in. I can imagine there's a lot of emotions in you. You know, I'm sure relief is one of them, but kind of walk us through that. What's your headspace when you do do that?
Yeah, that's a good question. And, you know, there is that real sense of relief, I suppose, is probably the right word because – You know, like it can be really draining and hard, this kind of job, because, you know, I don't envy detectives sometimes, you know, that when I think about it now, like they must be very good at compartmentalizing.
What were the listener's reactions to the final episode?
But, you know, I'm investing so much into a season over so long. And, you know, it's questions coming in. It's stuff that we're doing and making the episodes interesting. So yeah, when I click, there is a moment, you know, when I, and it's normally comes at like near midnight. I've probably been up all day making this episode and, you know, I click that final like publish button and yeah, and then I'm done. And normally it will involve me walking downstairs to see if there's a beer in the fridge. And if there is, I will drink said beer, you know, and just kind of, I will just sort of sit down and like actually decompress. And it honestly feels like there's this weight that's kind of come off. Um, you know, but I also, you know, like I said, it's not the end.
There's always more, but it certainly feels like once I'm not having to make more podcast episodes, um, that is a big weight because like I've said lots over years, like
