Why do constant interruptions leave moms feeling mentally exhausted before noon?

Jess Przulj 0:00
The more that you repeat a routine, the more ingrained it becomes mentally. Repetition is critical. Because when you repeat the same thing, you're able to rebound faster. You can pivot quicker because you know where you're at. And you can re-enter the task quicker because it's a familiar pattern that your brain has practiced before. Hey mama, welcome to the Habit Stacking Mom Show. Do you want to feel less exhausted and burnt out by motherhood? Do you find yourself up late at night googling daily routines and more energy? Do you wake up with big, ambitious goals only to feel overwhelmed managing everyone else's expectations and ignoring your own? Hey, I'm Jess. I too am a mom of littles who teetered on the edge of burnout.

I felt extremely defeated chasing kids all day, and I wished I didn't feel like a constant failure. I wanted to stop losing patience with my kids and husband and create some structure, but the unpredictability in my home I had no idea. How to make that happen. Until I found a better way to organize my daily routines. In this podcast, you will find a plan to create balance, strategies to declutter your home and mind, and tips to boost your energy and confidence. You'll feel so much more accomplished each day and show up stronger for your family. It's time to pop in your ear pods, shake up your fizz, and let's get stacking. Hey mamas, welcome back. So I'm excited to kick off our summer episodes and happy Memorial Day to you if you're actually listening to this on Memorial Day.
Jess Przulj 1:33
In our last episode, I mentioned that moving forward or at least through the summer. We're gonna start something familiar, something you're used to, but a tiny bit different around here. Each week we're gonna focus on one common tension point. Something that so many overwhelmed moms are experiencing in their seasons of life. We just go through it. So it'll be very relatable because you're a mom listening to this show. And on Mondays, we're gonna take a deep dive into that tension point. Something that's on the emotional side of that struggle specifically. Maybe it's the mindset behind it or the why. Why it's actually happening in the first place. Then on Thursday's episode, I'll walk you through an implementation session.
Jess Przulj 2:22
We're gonna shift gears and talk more practically how to reset that tension point, how to fix that routine that stopped working because of that specific tension point. That way the solution can fit your real life, something very specific to what you're going through. And you can take that challenge over the weekend if you'd like. And see how it goes. Give it a tweak and work through your routines. And honestly, what I'm really excited about is that it's going to create much more connection with these conversations throughout the week. Instead of feeling like we're jumping all over the place from one conversation to the next. And hopefully, hopefully. It'll appeal to both types of moms out there that are listening to this show.
Jess Przulj 3:08
The ones that need that motivation, they need to understand the why, to be seen and heard. And then there's my type A mamas out there who are like, Yep, that's me. Now tell me what to do. So as we officially kick off the summer format. If this hits well going forward for you, we'll keep it.

How do open mental “loops” from interruptions create scattered thinking?

Jess Przulj 3:28
If it doesn't, we'll pivot to something else. But I figured while we're at it, it would probably be very helpful for you to have a weekly focus guide. Something that you can print off for my visual mamas out there, giving you something to reflect on these Monday episodes to think through something in depth about the conversation we're having that week. But then it'll also provide you a space where you can rework those routines. Once we hit the Thursdays episode, you'll be ready to go to change little pieces of your routines that are just not working anymore. I realize that not everybody has the ability to coach with me one-on-one. And so what a better way for me to essentially coach you, giving you guidance and thought-provoking things on each of these topics, but then walk you through something that allows you to restack these routines and get moving in the right direction again.
