Why do many moms feel stuck in a cycle of restriction and perfectionism with fitness?
Hey mamas, welcome back to the show. So I have a real treat for you today. I'm very excited about this one. I am interviewing a mother-daughter duo who are passionate about fitness and health, just like me. Together, they have spent years chasing the perfect body, which I know you mamas can relate, especially after what those little kiddos do to our bodies in the first place. So together they've walked through restriction, perfectionism, and misinformation. Only to find themselves stuck and completely exhausted. I think so many mamas out there feel that way. We just go through so much and we're just trying to figure out how to get started again. So I wanted to bring them on today for the mama out there who's ready to rebuild her relationship with food and fitness after having these little kiddos, learning how to fuel your body properly with the right foods and protein while changing.
Chasing all the kids around your house. We also need to learn how to add strength training in in a manageable way so that we're building muscle. Our body needs muscle. Not like a bodybuilder, but more like the strong, beautiful woman that we deserve to be this side of motherhood. So I hope that you enjoy Corinne and Chrissanne from the podcast Her Healthy Body. Let's get to it. Hey mama, welcome to the Habit Stacking Mom Show. Do you wanna feel less exhausted and burnt out by motherhood? Do you find yourself up late at night Googling daily routines and more energy? Do you wake up with big, ambitious goals only to feel overwhelmed managing everyone else's expectations and ignoring your own? Hey, I'm Jess.
I too am a mom of littles who teetered on the edge of burnout. I felt extremely defeated chasing kids all day, and I wished I didn't feel like a constant failure. I wanted to stop losing patience with my kids and husband and create some structure, but the unpredictability in my home I had no idea. How to make that happen. Until I found a better way to organize my daily routines. In this podcast, you will find a plan to create balance, strategies to declutter your home and mind, and tips to boost your energy and confidence. You'll feel so much more accomplished each day and show up stronger for your family. It's time to pop in your ear pods, shake up your fizz, and let's get stacking. Well, hi ladies.
I'm so excited to have you guys.
Hi, thanks so much for having us.
This is gonna be a really great call today, guys. So this is Corinne and Chris Ann, and they are some really great friends of mine that I brought on the show for you because I think they can talk to a lot of your specific needs when it comes to nutrition and health. But my favorite part is they're a mother-daughter duo, which as you guys know is definitely near and dear to my heart as I have a mother that I'm very close with. So I would love for you guys to tell us a little bit more about how did this begin.
I had a love for health and fitness for a very long time, and I was a personal trainer, and she watched that growing up. I train people out of the house and I saw her young going through some things that I just kind of knew and it was around age 14, I believe. Typical teenager trying to find herself. Yeah. And I just saw her going through some struggles and I never wanted to push it on her. Because our kids do what we do, not even so much what we say. I think she just kind of was interested in and I introduced her to it when she was going through a little bit of struggle as a teenager. And And she gravitated to it pretty fast and we got really close over that.
Yeah. Like instead of me going to after school practice, it was now I was going to the gym with my mom and our bond just got really close in that way. And I mean like we had the type of relationship where I could tell her anything and I felt comfortable. So it was really the gym that brought us really close.
I literally love that. I remember growing up, my mom was a teacher at the high school. I couldn't find her some of the times because she was down in the gym doing her workouts.
