Why did I start this podcast and how did it become a community of 100,000+ listeners?
Each week. We make meals, we clean the kitchen, we wash the clothes, we plan the appointments and keep track of the schedule. We're resetting the house three times a day because we live life here. And then we'd do it all over again next week. When I started to notice that Those patterns. I stopped trying to manage everything randomly as it was coming at me. If I slowed down long enough to notice, I could slowly put routine stacks together that would help me organize the things in my day. Hey mama, welcome to the Habit Stacking Mom Show. Do you want to feel Do you feel less exhausted and burnt out by motherhood? Do you find yourself up late at night googling daily routines and more energy? Do you wake up with big, ambitious goals only to feel overwhelmed managing everyone else's expectations and ignoring your own?
Hey, I'm Jess. I too am a mom of littles who teetered on the edge of burnout. I felt extremely I've been extremely defeated chasing kids all day, and I wished I didn't feel like a constant failure. I wanted to stop losing patience with my kids and husband and create some structure, but the unpredictability in my home, I had no idea how to make that happen. Until I found a better way to organize my daily routines. In this podcast, you will find a plan to create balance, strategies to declutter your home and mind, and tips to boost your energy and confidence. Confidence. You'll feel so much more accomplished each day and show up stronger for your family. It's time to pop in your ear pods, shake up your fizz and let's get stacking.
Wow, welcome back mamas. I am so so proud of this episode. We have officially hit 200. This is a milestone episode, and I am so excited to be able to share my thoughts, feelings, opinions in life with so many of you out there each week. I'm very grateful to get to do that. I'm proud of the content I've been putting out there and I really deep down believe That I am meant to share my story, my life. My techniques, all the things that I'm living every single day. And I am so grateful to have this platform to be able to do that. And hopefully impact somebody's life out there. 200 episodes is such an achievement for me because it proves what I teach, which is small, consistent habits over time, they can build into incredible things.
To be over 100,000 downloads in less than two years is something I am very proud of. And I cannot wait to do the next 200 episodes with you all. See, what some of you may not know is that I actually moved to Nashville, Tennessee when I was 19 years old because I wanted to be a singer. I loved to sing, I wrote music, it was my dream, and fun fact, I'm just a performer at heart. I moved here to chase that dream.
How did motherhood help me find my voice again and shape the show’s purpose?
But if I'm honest. I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into. This was before social media, before personal brands. Everyone was not documenting every minute of their lives online, and they weren't building an audience from their phone. See, back then, putting yourself out there felt very different. And the truth is, that industry does not treat people very well. I didn't have the confidence I needed to keep showing up after all the setbacks. I was 19. I had no idea. I didn't have a community around me cheering me on. Besides my parents, they supported me every step of the way. But when you're 19 years old trying to pursue something very big, having your mom and dad as your entire fan club doesn't always feel like enough.
And eventually my dream just sort of faded. But that's what's funny about it. Because now I'm 200 episodes into this podcast. I feel like I have come full circle. Because somewhere along the way, I found my voice again. But it's not my singing voice. It's my actual voice. The voice that shares my ideas, it teaches, it tells stories, and it's the voice that is willing to be seen again. And honestly, I don't think I would have found that voice again if I hadn't become a mom. Motherhood changed me in a lot of ways, but one of the biggest things it did was force me to think differently about the example I wanted to set for my children.
