What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
It's the habit that allows me to live my life with intention and not react nonstop. That's what I wanted to bring to you today. Obviously, you're never going to overhaul your life in one night, but you have to learn how to step into the next season a little bit more gracefully, a little bit more on purpose instead of by luck or by accident. Moms who seem like they have it all together, they're not better at handling chaos, but But I do know without a doubt, they are better at preparing before the chaos arrives. Hey mama, welcome to the Habit Stacking Mom Show. Do you want to feel less exhausted and burnt out by motherhood? Do you find yourself up late at night googling daily routines and more energy?
Do you wake up with big, ambitious goals only to feel overwhelmed managing everyone else's expectations and ignoring your own? Hey, I'm Jess. I too am a mom of littles who teetered on the edge of burnout. I felt extremely defeated chasing kids all day, and I wished I didn't feel like a constant failure. I wanted to stop losing patience with my kids and husband and create some structure, but the unpredictability in my home, I had no idea how to make that happen until I found a better way to organize my daily routines. In this podcast, you will find a plan to create balance, strategies to declutter your home and mind, and tips to boost your energy and confidence. You'll feel so much more accomplished each day and show up stronger for your family.
It's time to pop in your ear pods, shake up your fizz, and let's get stacking. Hey mamas, welcome back. Well, it's getting to be my favorite time of year. Probably not typical for most because it's mid-July. It's not always everyone's favorite time of year, but for me, I absolutely love it.
Why does Jess consider July the best time to start planning for back‑to‑school?
If you followed along with the podcast long enough, you know that one of the main things I teach is is your ability to plan ahead with a lot of intention. It's a thing that boosts efficiency in your life in every single area. I truly believe it is the number one skill and habit you can develop that can change absolutely everything in your life. It doesn't matter what path you're on, whether it's a good path or a bad path, it will improve it or enhance it. Nothing that can be repeated is done on accident. Accident is luck. You got lucky when something worked out in your favor and you didn't plan for it. Maybe you can even get lucky multiple times. But if someone asked you to go repeat that and you can't, then it was luck.
It would be very difficult because it happened by chance. That's not how I choose to operate in my home, my business, or in my health. I want habits and systems that create results that I can repeat over and over again. I'm only a few weeks away from the two-year anniversary of this podcast, and I remember very vividly sitting down at the beginning of summer two years ago contemplating what was something I could talk to people about two times a week for the rest of my life if I chose to. I chose to write two episodes that were about 20 minutes long, give or take. That was my goal. I set that before I created this podcast. I had to have an idea around it. No pressure, right? Something I can choose as my topic before a podcast launch, and then I need to stick with it forever.
It was very challenging. But when I sat down and thought about what am I passionate about that I could without a doubt talk about, I know the answer, but first I just want to say thank you for listening to this for two years. Whether you've been here for a moment, you just found me, or you've been here for those two years, I'm super, super grateful for you. If this podcast has encouraged you, helped you build better habits, or just reminded you that you're not alone in the season that you're currently in, Would you just take a few minutes and leave a review for me? Reviews help more moms find this show. And every single one of those reviews means so much more than you realize. I read them all. I appreciate them.
And they truly help with this podcast. It helps it grow.
