Hockey. My favorite. It's Judd's Hockey Show.
is the friday edition a friday episode of judd's hockey show it's judd it is aj sporting his u.s soccer hat in anticipation of the world cup coming up in june or he just had to wear a hat because much like me he hasn't showered in his hair is a mess bingo thank you very much but uh yeah and i got my victory tire and i'll head on for that reason as well um The Wild, we were both there last night. They went 4-1 against the Calgary Flames. Not less than an inspiring game, but a win's a win. They close out their homestand now. So they'll be going on a one-game trip to Edmonton on Saturday. They'll come back here against Montreal. Then they'll play Wednesday in Nashville. And then they'll be off for three weeks for the Olympic break.
But 3-0-1, which is not bad. The shootout went against Chicago a couple nights ago. Of course, they came back from a 3-0 deficit. Last night, they didn't trail, but I believe they had two goals on three shots in the first period. I think they had eight shots through two periods. But, Age, you know what? I will say this. If you can find ways to win games, and I didn't feel, I mean, last night was not their best game. But that being said, you know, the last homestead didn't go so well. And the reality is this. When you can find a way to get two points, which they did the last two games, I'm not saying that's the blueprint for success. It's definitely not. I also have a hard time complaining, though, if you're going to get two points, if you're playing with any consistency, which this team is for the most part.
So not sure about you. Yeah, it wasn't the most exciting game we've attended. But all of that being said, I did not come away from that game thinking, oh, boy, they should have trounced them. Calgary is not very good. They play sort of a defensive style. All in all, not a lot of style points, but a successful homestand. And to me, that's the most important thing. And they still remain. The Wild does one point up on the Dallas Stars in the Central Division.
Yeah, last night's game was a bit of a snooze fest. I was already pretty tired as is. And then going to that, I was like, oh, we'll see some raucous action. The goal horn will wake me up a little bit. We'll get, you know, juice and cursed and in the arena, like getting me amped up. And then the play started and I was like, okay, well, you know, they scored early and then they scored again. And then there was a lot of nothing. It was a lot of just very relaxed kind of back and forth. It wasn't really great hockey by any means, but you're right. Like you get, you had two points. It's hard. It's hard to rag on them. And I think that's coming from this show. I think that's pretty generous to say, but when they went, when they take two points for a team that is, and has been as good as they are, um,
It's not like they were on the flip side of things trying to get back out of a rut or a slump. And all of a sudden it's a it's a game against a Chicago team that isn't very good.
