I liked what I saw from the start. This team, they started pretty hot, and obviously it's hard to not have a good win when you and a good start when you score that quickly into the game. Joel Eriksson, that kicks it off really early. I would say, though, as the game progressed, I thought it sort of got to that feeling of the Wild had a lot of chances to probably make this a bigger gap and not even need overtime. Probably could have put it away in regulation. Canadians stuck around, and there was resiliency shown by the Wild. Obviously, a couple comebacks to level and then force overtime, but at the same time, I think they were, I think they look like a better team and probably should have had more goals on the night.
What were the highlights of the Minnesota Wild's overtime win against the Canadiens?
The problem was six shots on goal in the first period. Only seven in the second period. They finished the night with 24 shots on goal, obviously. They scored four. So it's hard to, it's hard to... On one side, say they didn't generate enough chances, because obviously they did and they won. But in net, it's not like Jakub Dobesch is a Vezina Trophy caliber goaltender by any means. I would have loved to see a lot more shots fired on net. It felt like at times there were guys that had... I guess golden opportunities to just put the puck through on goal and they opt for the passing lane. They opt to move it for the... Maybe instead of the... know b plus opportunity they're looking for the a plus golden chance to and it should be a slam dunk this is not a goaltender that i think you need to do that against i would see more volume of shots um this is going to sound like you know my my lobsters is too buttery my steak is too juicy because they're coming away with two points against an opponent that's not even in their conference but at the same time
