Welcome everybody to another episode of the Keeping Carlson Fantasy Hockey Podcast, the longest-running, and in my opinion, the best fantasy hockey podcast in the world. Normally hosted by two guys who are entering tier one. Uh still being hosted this episode by two guys who are entering tier one, but it's not the two you'd expect. My name is Brian Collins. com and I'm here with a a special guest. We had uh our first quote unquote I'm gonna call it the winner's circle interview series. Uh I don't know how long or how many uh episodes it will encompass, but for now we have one. Elon interviewed uh tier one Kakouffel ultimate champion Jordan, uh and it was fantastic.

So happy to have you. I feel like, you know, you have been like someone who people want to hear from a lot, uh, over the last few years based on like you've had a crazy cupful career. Uh you have been in the league five years, which is uh like Jordan has been in the tier one playoffs m longer than you've been in the cupful. And yet, uh in those five years for anyone Who's not familiar with Ryan, I just need to like give a proper introduction. So first year in the cupful Ryan in Tier 6, Bosse uh came in, won the fast track with a 17 and 5 record, so took the the the short route to tier 1 Sweden, won the next two seasons, uh, then uh finished ninth uh in his third tier one season. season and uh lo and behold in tier two this year tier two San Jose Ryan took home the championship uh a record of twelve and eight uh but hey playoffs playoffs uh it was actually you know you've had three seasons Ryan with with uh twelve wins although I th yeah, no none of them were COVID shortened.
So uh twelve uh kind of well maybe a magic number or nine But also another thing about Ryan is so Ryan, you won the fast track your first year. This year you were second in the fast track. Uh, and your other years, you've always every year but that one year you finished ninth in Sweden, you have been amongst the top teams in the fast track. So this is like sustained success on a level that like we don't generally see. Like it's really hard to win. So we're gonna talk a little bit about how in the world that happens if you think it's skill or if you think it's luck. Uh and I'll I'll share my thoughts on that too. But uh well I want to hear from you as well. Uh is there anything else I want to mention off the top?
Uh no, we have the Keeping Carlson playoff pool going on. Ryan, are you like how how often are you checking? You like you told Told me before we I hit record, you're looking for Darren Radish points tonight. How well do you know that fact? Like how how much are you living and dying with the playoff pool? I guess is my question.
I really like the playoff pool actually. So like the playoff pool was my introduction to Ca cup full. So the first thing I did was a playoff pool back in 21. Um so I followed a lot. I try to only check the scores kind of at the end. So I kind of watch the hockey all day. I Try not to pay too much attention to other people's teams. I find that makes it less painful when I see certain people score. I'm not thinking about who's passing me or who's falling behind. Um, so I follow it closely, but it's largely for fun. Um and I think it's a great kind of cap to the end of the season, sort of going through that. So
