What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
There
is always someone that probably has achieved more than us
and achieved less than
us. And so if we use that as a way to work out if we can celebrate ourselves or not, we would never celebrate anything.
Good morning. Hello. Hello. How are you today? I'm good.
I'm good.
What's wrong?
I don't know. No, I'm good. I'm actually, I'm good. I mean, okay, let me start with like the
good stuff first. Sorry, I also shouldn't assume nothing, something is wrong, but I just didn't, just guys. Yeah, that made me think.
I'm not being entirely truthful. That's right. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, I did. I did think that. So I am really proud of myself. I'll start with the positives. I am now like 11 days in on doing breath work every morning.
I was thinking, you know what, I actually thought of you this morning and I was like, I wonder if you're still doing it. I am still doing it. Oh, I'm so
proud
of you. Yeah. There's
been a couple of mornings that I've done it like not, On sunrise, as in I've slept in a little bit
and I've found a
window later. We are disappointed.
I know, seriously.
But that was fine. But I think it actually feels a lot better doing it first thing for me. I've found that like, although it's really hard to get out of bed, particularly on the really cold, wet mornings, I have found that doing it first thing before the morning kind of kicks off is actually easier because I've like made that space or time and then I just feel really good for the morning. Can I
ask you a question? Yeah. I feel like a lot of the listeners will relate to this with me. But sometimes when I'm thinking of doing breath work and I need a reminder in the morning and getting out of bed when I'm still like sleepy and my alarm goes off. Yes. I think, what's the point? I might as well just lie here for another 20 minutes and sleep and rest
my
body and be calm. Yeah. But what is the difference? Like, you know what you think? Because it's like,
I'm just
going to go. When you're like, I'm going to get up and move, it's a different thought to I'm going to get up and lie down or like sit in. Yeah, don't lie down. You sit. Yeah. So
you
get up and you
sit upright.
Yeah,
and even better, like the mornings where it's been even better is when I actually walk out. The only reason I haven't gone outside every day is it's raining. Of course. But even this morning, actually, I went and did it in the sauna, like before the sauna was actually on. Like the sauna was like 15 degrees. It was not on, but I was like at least in this like enclosed area. But I'd had to walk through fresh air to get there. I find that having, yeah, at least five or ten minutes even of awake time out of my bed before I do the practice. the best thing. If I just sat up in bed and did it, I don't think it would feel quite the same. But the practice that I
do is 25 minutes long, number one. Yeah, it's
very long. So like it's a big thing. But also the breath pattern like does different things for your nervous system. So it energizes me, but it also calms me. And I think that's why I've been loving doing it first thing because For me, Harvey's still waking up early. So I don't lie in bed in the morning chilling there calmly. I'm lying there thinking he's woken up early again. I wonder how many times he's going to come up the stairs. Like I'm already stressing before the day has even started. And so doing this, it's like I'm doing this for me and I'm centering myself and doing the inner work before like the mornings. And I've genuinely seen such a difference in my mood and energy today. And like capacity for patience if he's like woken up on the wrong side of the bed in the mornings from it.
I'm so proud of you. Thank you.
Yeah. So I'm
going
to stick to it. But then also, like, the reason why I went, ah, is because it's a bittersweet time, you know? Yeah. As in we're wrapping up soon. Yeah. It's bittersweet.
Am I breaking the fourth
wall? Well, I wasn't going to, but do you want to
break the fourth wall? But I feel like now
it's like it's weird if we don't. Well, it's just, yeah, it's the last recording day.
It's the last recording day, guys, but it's not the last episode.
