I have a series called Sunday Scaries where we play horror games every Sunday. Right now, it's February where I've been playing Resident Evil all February.

So I finished two at the beginning of the month and did our two remake. Then I did RE4 remake and then I just started seven this past Sunday.

Well, here's the thing. Okay. So obviously February is because we have RE9 coming out soon.

So I love them both for different reasons. So I have always been a Resident Evil movie person. I love the movies, even though they're not very good. But I will fight for the first one. But I never really got into the games, but I've become a Resident Evil fanatic.

I love them. I love the Horror of Two remake. It's so scary. I screamed so much.

But RE4 remake was so fun. I love being Leon just kicking people in the face. So it's like, I would love in some worlds where we could merge those two things, like horror, but Leon kicking people in the face, you know?
Yeah, I feel like I resonate with that very greatly. Like RE2 was my first Resident Evil that I played all the way through, beat, and truly loved. I remember trying RE4 back in the day multiple times across multiple different platforms, and whatever reason, RE4 didn't initially stick with me until I played Remake. And I think part of that was that RE2 was the gateway drug. There's something about just, like, the pure horror, like, pacing and the tenseness of having Mr. X just, like, there in the ether following you. And also the design of the police station and everything taking place in this one place, for the most part, until you get out of there. Loved everything about that. RE4 got to it, and I grew to love it because it is more of a hyped up, like, bit more action-y, has a bit more going on.
Leon's doing flips off of walls. to like dodge chainsaws and shit, right? Like it's that kind of Resident Evil, but also very, very lovable in its own way. And of course that's the fan favorite. People will say RE4 is one of the greatest games of all time. I feel like in between there, I have my ideal Resident Evil and I'm looking forward to Resident Evil Requiem because I feel like it could end up being that.
Yeah, I feel like everything we've seen hints that way. So we'll just have to see what ends up happening with it. It really fulfills that promise.
Of course, this Friday, me and Andy are going to lock ourselves into the streaming room. We're going to play through Resident Evil Requiem, push for a marathon stream.
