Penn Holderness 0:39
That's an actual thing you have to budget out time for because it takes a while because some people um don't really know what they want to eat and they also don't want to decide for themselves. I understandably.

Penn Holderness 1:24
So that's that's me picking.
Kim Holderness 1:27
I know what I don't want. I know what I don't know.
Penn Holderness 1:31
And then it's sometimes it just ends with like a leafy salad. Which
Kim Holderness 1:35
Which nowadays old cyclospora.
Penn Holderness 1:38
Yeah. I'm
Kim Holderness 1:38
avoiding those. So I
Penn Holderness 1:39
I don't even have that to fall back on. Psych boah.
Unknown 1:41
Hold on.
Penn Holderness 1:42
Yeah.
Unknown 1:42
The radio this morning, I listened to the radio. Yeah. And they said there's a new one. The eggs.

Penn Holderness 1:56
Okay.
Unknown 1:57
Are you kidding me?

How do Kim and Penn handle decision fatigue and the “go to bed angry” advice?

Penn Holderness 1:58
Um and Kim, we have a lot of eggs. From like a lot of different sources. We have like egg whites.
Unknown 2:05
Lettuce I avoid. I had no problem avoiding the lettuce.
Penn Holderness 2:08
Right.
Unknown 2:08
Eggs. Eggs is gonna
Penn Holderness 2:09
be tough.
Kim Holderness 2:12
Dear Lord, well, welcome to your happy place. Welcome to a place where you're safe. We promise you're gonna laugh and we won't give you a parasite. Yeah. We are parasite free. Um, so today's show, just Penn and I, people that are married and we raise kids together and we work together. Yeah. It's a lot. And you know, we The most common question we get, and even from friends, I got this question from a dear friend who said, Tell me the truth. She looked into my eyes and said, tell me the truth. Do you and your husband? actually get along all the time.
Penn Holderness 2:53
Right. And was she do you think she was hoping for a certain answer?
Kim Holderness 2:57
I so she said What happens if You're in an argument and sometimes they last and there's friction, there's tension, and then you have to shoot a video where you're like and you press record.
Penn Holderness 3:08
Yeah.
Kim Holderness 3:09
She's like, There has to have been moments when that didn't work.
Penn Holderness 3:13
Yeah. I mean we've we've gotten in arguments on this podcast, uh sometimes. So so uh if you if you listen enough, you know that that does happen. Um but yeah, like I think that's I I think the answer is mostly. Right?
Kim Holderness 3:29
I wanna I really want to I wanna get real today. Yeah. And I wanna also talk about what When we don't get along, how we work through that. And then also creatively, 'cause we do work together, that's a big part of it too. And just sort of give you a little glimpse behind the curtain about what and and honest we are gonna have a world premiere on this podcast of a video that we wildly disagree about. And you, the Laughliners, are gonna make a decision.
Penn Holderness 4:00
Yeah, all right. So That question has so many layers, right? There's there's do you get along in your marriage? Do you get along at work with your wife? And do you find a good way to delineate those two things? Right. I think those are three things that we could explore here.
Kim Holderness 4:18
I will say obviously we are humans that are married. We do not always get along. Sam, who's here, has heard us not get along. She's nodding. She's trying to stay out of it. Mom and dad are fighting. Um, but I would say the hardest part of working with your spouse is that you can't come home and bitch about your coworker.
