It is true that you got more skin in the game. It's a lot more exciting to watch things I've realized, you know, over the years.

I've had some real bad ones. Like the Pittsburgh Steelers, that was damaging to Futures. So you don't think about it as much because it's a little bit out of your mind. And for me, that Ravens ticket was dead anyway. And then they also had a hedge out as well. Like during the game, I had Steelers at about five to one. And I was like, okay, I'll take this.
But you always want to win your original bet because you always want to be right on the podcast. You want to be publicly right. Nobody, everybody behind closed doors, nobody, apart from your real clients, nobody knows what you really did. So you can turn around and go, oh, it doesn't matter. I said the Ravens because I hedged the Steelers. And people will be like, yeah, sure he did.
Sure he did, buddy. But it's like, yeah, actually, you want to be publicly right to the people who don't pay you anything so that they do maybe pay you something.

So being heavily on the Ravens for the AFC North at the start of the season, you know, it's a... And whilst it is a legitimate out, there's no real proof that I did what I did during the game or whatever. So you want to be right with your original thought because you're judging more on that. But yeah, I mean, I've been on the wrong end of that. I was on the wrong end of...
When the Eagles covered against the Rams, not only did they win the game, I didn't care about the game. I cared about them covering that three and a half that day. And the guy fucking ran the block kick in for a touchdown. That was wild.
That was how the season's been summed up, how crazy it's been.
Yeah, I mean, and obviously, like, the combination fuck-ups are the worst. Like, me and you were texting throughout the week, and it was like, okay, you bet on your team, and then you lose on your team, and then the triple whammy is that my team just had to recover an onside kick. Yeah. And then it's like, okay, I lost money, the team lost, like, we're going to lose the division. And it hurts.

And the way it lost is just so fucking ridiculous. Like, I wasn't even, I didn't even have the TV on.
At that point, you know, sometimes I even think like, I mean, this year's been so fucking rough that I go, maybe if I just pick the teams that I think are going to win, maybe I'll just bet on the opposite because that's the way it's fucking been going. You know, I'm like, what the fuck? And you have logical strategy and thoughts and it's like.
You have all these write-ups, and I know, like, last year I used to, and you're like, well, it's so people could read it and go, they could agree with you or not, and at least you gave them something to think of, and so it's on them if they do it, because here's the reasoning. So they have a thing. And I'm like, you know what? To me, all that shit doesn't even fucking matter, because I'm like...
You could have 50,000 fucking reasons. And then it's completely the opposite way. And you're like, why did I even fucking bother with writing all this? Because it's the logical way. And none of it fucking mattered.
Yeah, I mean, I do it because people are paying.

And I want them to feel like I think it's... Like you put effort into it, not just threw a fucking game to them and said, here, fuck it.
I think it's very disrespectful. I think it's very disrespectful to charge and then to tell people, first of all, you took their money. And then if the books take their money as well, so they lose twice, like they paid you and then they lost. So I feel that they should have a choice. It's like, okay, they're paying you, but they still need to do part two. Part one's paying you.
Part two is then actually making the bet. So between part one and part two, there should be this middle area where they get to read why they're putting their money down. Because they might completely disagree with it.
I don't see people who buy sports betting packages as people who don't know anything about the sport, which is the weird irony of it, because they actually probably only know a little bit less than us. I don't think we're attracting complete dumbasses who say, I mean, they would be better off. Just need some help.
If you're like a complete fucking beginner, or you're somebody who almost doesn't know anything about something, you say, look, I want to start investing my money. I'm only getting 4% on an ISA.

I don't really trust the stock market, or I don't really find that exciting, etc. So I want to start gambling. Like I actually had an ex, during my ex-girlfriend contacts, I mean, she wanted to start a sports betting. And she signed up to my, like, thing. And I saw her name. And I saw her name in textiles. Like, is this you? It's like, are you doing it for your boyfriend? She's like, no.
Like, I've got all this spare money. Like, I want to, like, start gambling. I used to sit with you and win. So I was like, okay. So... She knew nothing about it. So the thing is, is that the less you know, it's almost more... You're more likely to blindly tail, but that's not the case.
So what you want to do is you want to put your information out there and what it is, so that if the person who is with your package is semi-knowledgeable, they can turn around and say, well, actually...
I don't think this is the case, or I don't think this person's going to win, or I don't trust this player, or I don't think this piece of data is going to carry over, or I don't think this matchup is as lopsided as you do. So all of these things, they can turn around and agree or disagree with you.
For the most part, they should agree because my record will be better than everybody that signs up to get my plays because if they were better than me, why are they paying? So... Yeah, but I think you have to do... The write-up thing, I call that part one. I would say that I refer to that as part one and a half. Part one is paying me. Part two is playing the actual bet when it comes through.
But part one and a half is actually trying to look at what my opinion is and seeing if it's close to what you thought. I think it's probably a good feeling. when you thought something and then you see it written down by the person that you're paying, I think that's got to be like a good feeling for people to then, you know, you can all be sort of, you know, connected in that bet.
And I think people get less angry that way. It's funny.
One of the guys that I follow, which is funny because his name is Cavalier. Have you ever seen that guy, J.A. Cavalier? He's very good at NFL, and he's been for a couple years. This year he has been no good, and at least he admits it. That's when I'm always like I respect the person when they go, you know what? This has been fucking horrible. I've been awful.
But I see you send me a lot of that stuff where it's like lists ā Do, like, lists of, like, do this, do this.
