Hello listeners, welcome back to Luke's English Podcast, a podcast for learners of English all around the world. How are you today? I hope you're doing fine and that you are ready to listen to this probably extremely long episode. I don't know how long it's going to be, but it's a rambling episode, which means that it's probably going to last for quite a long time. But I invite you to join me and listen to the English language episode. as it flows out of my mouth. That's the idea. Just connect to the English language and let the language flow through you, within you, without you. Just listen to a lot of English, basically. That's the idea. Yes, and I wonder where you are as you listen to this. You're somewhere on planet Earth.
I wonder what you're doing. Some of you are listening to the audio version. with your podcast app. Maybe you are out and about somewhere in the world, perhaps walking, having a lovely walk, left, right, left, right. You know, you know the way it works, walking around a bit, maybe walking from A to B and then from B to C. You'd never walk from A to C. Why do people never do that? They have to go from A to B and then you go from B to C. Just go straight from A to C. You don't have to go via B. Unless you need to pick something up, maybe you need to pick something up, in which case, by all means, go from A to B and B to C and just, you know, have a lovely walk. Maybe you are sitting on public transport, sitting on a bus somewhere in some far corner of the world.
A far corner of the world, it seems like a far corner of the world to me, but for you it's the centre of the universe, isn't it? But maybe you're there sitting there on a bus, everyone else around you just commuting, going about their business, and you're sitting in this lovely bubble now that you've entered this bubble, this zone, the ramble bubble. Oh, that's good, the ramble bubble. Yes, I hope you enjoy spending some time here in the Ramble Bubble with me. Yes, listening to the audio version allows you to do all sorts of other things. You can multitask. You can travel. You don't have to stay looking at a screen. That's my preferred way of consuming podcasts. If you are, hello, yes, welcome to my face. This is my face. Not only are you listening to the English that I'm speaking, but even subconsciously, even without wanting to, you are making certain judgments about the visuals as well. Some people say they prefer the video version because they can see my body language. They need to see my hands moving. They need to see my eyebrows go up. They need to see my eyebrows go down. You know, that kind of thing. People seem to like the body language, the visual element, which is fine. This is a multimodal thing. uh thing isn't it you know you don't just listen to words but you notice the way that the words are being delivered and interpreted uh through things like body language but there's probably quite a lot of people who are going oh why did he shave his beard we you should have a beard you we want you to have a beard don't you understand
And then other people are like, oh, you look younger and so on and so forth. There's all that stuff as well. But anyway, whoever you are, wherever you are, whether you're listening to just the audio version or also watching the video version of this, you are all welcome to join me and enter into the Ramble Zone. That's what I'm calling this episode. The working title for the episode is Ramble Man into the Ramble Zone. Yes. Two portmanteau words in the title of this episode with the word ramble. Ramble man into the ramble zone.
