Chapter 1: What led to the end of the 'boss babes' group?
Hello and welcome back to the Maths Winnie podcast and in today's episode guys we've got Rebecca putting the final nail into the coffin that once was this year's mean girl squad or boss babes as they like to call themselves as that group has now come to an official end and we've also got a breakdown of the crisis PR sympathy tours that we're now seeing playing out in real time which I'm going to be honest I'm more shameless than I ever thought was possible.
so firstly we've got last night on a tiktok live with athena from last season rebecca became the latest cast member to publicly distance herself from gia yeah though a lot of the context i'm seeing i don't see a lot of good and then even the stan arts party what they're showing in behind scenes is even worse it's not a 35 year old woman it's not the
Like to be honest with you, not being rude, it's not anyone's age. Like none of it's, trust me when I say none of it sits well with me. Like I'm not going to sit here and say that I condemn that behaviour. Absolutely, that's definitely not what I'm saying. It's just, it is, it's hard for me to see what's happening now, to be honest. Like I'm not going to, yeah, and I don't condone it at all.
As Rebecca then explained how the reason she has remained so loyal to Gia up until now was because she was the person during filming who had her back the most, Athena then questioned, well, was that actually Gia being supportive? Or was that Gia maybe doing it for a storyline?
I have a soft spot for her. That's just who I am. She's the only one that had my back. And I mean, you know, I'd be bawling my eyes out. I'd be in a room by myself.

Chapter 2: How did Rebecca distance herself from Gia on social media?
Like, honey, it was fucked.
I feel like I'm such a, I don't know, maybe it's just because I've got such a negative taste. I'm like, do you think maybe she had your back because she knew that Steve was a, was it Steve, his name?
Yeah.
Sorry, I'm so bad with names. Steve was 100% in the wrong, so she thought if she had your back, it would look good for her. Like, maybe she did it for personal reasons. I don't know. Like, I see a lot of her behaviour is for her own self-esteem.
Yeah, and I know exactly... Honey, can I say, I know exactly what you're saying with the manipulation and the puppeteering, whether she thought she had to get me on side for her. Honey, I've thought about all of that. Like, I really have, and I can honestly say that... I don't think our friendship, I don't know, like, I don't think it was transactional like that. I'm getting told.
I'm kind of glad it didn't work out for you and Steve.

Chapter 3: What are the implications of Gia's PR strategy?
Rebecca choosing to distance herself there on TikTok comes days after Chris pretty much did the same during a live interview on After The Dinner Party.
One thing that I've learned from this experiment is I need to stay in my own lane. I've made so much change in my life since that moment and I will take accountability but I felt comfortable just being here owning it on my own.
Gia was someone who you specifically said you didn't want to sit on the couch with. Why is that?
I think there was discussions with Gia that she was going to come today, but she wanted to come if I was here. On reflection, I wanted to show up on my own. You know, I can't speak for Gia, and I'm sure she's ashamed at what she's done as well. But like I said, the one thing that I've learned from this is I want to stay in my own lane.
But in terms of not wanting to be on the couch or associated with G, does that come into it?
I just don't want to be influenced by anyone else. It comes down to that. Like, Jira and I are still in communication. Are you friends? Like, obviously, their friendship's a little different now.

Chapter 4: Why did Rebecca feel loyal to Gia during filming?
She lives in Melbourne. She's got a new partner. We haven't seen each other. But are you friends? Yeah, I would call it a friendship, yeah. It's just a different type of friendship.
That's a big... departure from what we've seen in the series. What happened?
I think our lives have just gone a little bit separate. I'm not saying that I don't like her. She's off with a new partner and I've got my thing now. So, well, nothing really happened. We just honestly, hand on heart, we kind of have drifted in different ways. I've got a child and I live at the farm and I'm kind of trying to stay out of the BS.
Chapter 5: What caused the fallout between Gia and her former friends?
I don't think you want to be seen with Gia. Because I think you've seen... who she's become and what people are seeing, and I think you're just worried about being associated with that.
Yeah, look, like, I mean, I spoke to Gia this morning on the phone. Yeah. We do have a relationship, but it's just a lot different.
So you are friends?
Yeah.
And you're keeping her for arms land publicly? Objects.
Is it optics? No, I went to her birthday. There was unfortunately a little bit of drama.
So you don't need producers there to create drama?
No, no, no.

Chapter 6: How does Gia's public persona differ from her private life?
I think it's in the personality.
Yeah, and when I got back from that trip, I said to myself, I'm never going to put myself in that position again.
It is worth pointing out that Chris and Gia have since made some TikTok comments kind of laughing about how he now apparently hates her. But I think personally, although they are trying to laugh it off, This is actually real, and what Chris said has hurt Gia, and you'll see why in a moment when I get to what she's posted on TikTok.
But before I get to that, let's go back a week or so ago, because before Chris made those comments, Juliet, another of Gia's former besties, kind of made it clear to Daily Mail that she's not actually friendly with Gia anymore after Gia uninvited her from attending her birthday party, choosing Beck to go instead of her.
I got disinvited. What do you mean? I mean, I got invited late notice, I think, as well. And then because Bec was there, she told me that she didn't want me there because Bec's gonna be there. And I said, fair enough. I think Gia got really swept up in trying to be friends with Bec again.
And so, you know, Bec probably didn't want me there and was like, if you want me there, Juliet's not gonna be there. And so she just probably folded for that.
And bear in mind that Juliet said that in the interview before this unseen moment aired on Stan days later, where we actually heard Gia first encouraging Juliet to bring out, you know, all those screenshots at the commitment ceremony.

Chapter 7: What are the consequences of Gia using her daughter in her narrative?
I reckon they're going to bring up the **** thing and they're going to call, they're going to say, this is a pattern and you're a **** bad person. That's what I think they're going to say. And then what are you going to do? Say, I used the word **** because I thought that language was something that folks used to. And I thought it would be okay to use that when I was angry.
Oh, well, it's not, I don't speak like that. Cool. Well, here's a screenshot that shows you said that three times the wrong message. Do you not say ****? And then I'd walk out.
I just want to go home. I want to go home. And then walk out.
There's things that are going to save us. People aren't dumb.
Chapter 8: How is Gia's situation being perceived by the public?
You think everyone can watch this and agree with Beck?
Only to then, in another unseen moment from that day and that commitment ceremony, take Beck and some others aside to warn what Juliette was essentially going to do and essentially throwing Juliette under the bus before she could carry out the plan that Gia had made her do all along.
I have to tell you, she's doing a great job.
You're kidding.
Old combos I sent her from ages ago.
On tonight's episode of Married at First Sight, we'll also watch Gia and Beck briefly make up and become friends again. And I'm told that this happened after Beck went out for a walk and she saw Gia actually crying on a bench somewhere near the building. And this was because she was questioning her relationship with Scott. Chris had now gone. She had no friends left. And Beck...
took pity on her and then believed what Gia was saying about wanting to be friends and whatever and the pair of them then went out for drinks they got drunk as usual when Beck's around and you know they kind of got a bit too cozy bitching about their guys which Gia apparently later used against Beck somehow in some capacity I'm not sure how but as we know Beck along with Rebecca now Chris
Juliet doesn't really have many positive things to say about her former friend, Gia.
Everyone can hate me, that's fine. But at least I try and learn from the mistakes I've made that she's relentless. To see the extent of the manipulation... It hit home a little bit. It was really, it was quite difficult to watch.
