Chapter 1: What are Amazon's five tips for growing your business in 2026?
If you're an Amazon seller, you know, at the end of the day that a lot of what Amazon puts out there as far as just educational content is next to useless for the average seller. And today they put out five tips to grow your business this year. And so I thought as being an Amazon expert, I would come through and review these tips and tell you which of them are actually useful.
My name is Noah Wickham. I'm VP of sales and marketing here at my Amazon guy. So let's see what Amazon has to say about five tips to grow your business.
Well, the first one, launch a new product. So this is not exactly wrong. I don't think right. You should launch new products. This is absolutely something you should do. Uh, they say to use the new selection success guide to help you sell the first 10 units of your new product faster.
So the new selection success guide for those that are unaware, it's basically a guide that Amazon came out with that shows you what you should be doing with new product launches. They're like, hey, help increase sales by 20 percent. Talk about a plus content. They talk about social proof using incentives to convert. So, I mean, it's very basic stuff. Right. And they do give a timeline.
But I will say at the end of the day, if you guys are wanting some kind of product launch guide, you can just look up my Amazon guy launch and we have a ton of different ones. So we have launching on Amazon complete guide, this one is going to be probably the best for you just learning everything end to end as well. We also have entire articles about this. So
It's 2025, but still very, very relevant information. I would absolutely go and check a lot of these out and even on our website as well. If you are interested, we do have actually entire section dedicated to free Amazon tools, one of them being specifically our new seller launch deck. So this is something I would go and download if you actually are looking at launching products this year.
Now, the second one, they say generate reviews early. Customer reviews can help build trust, boost sales, enroll new products in Amazon Vine to get high quality trust reviews for your products even before launch so customers can make informed purchasing decisions from day one.

Chapter 2: Is launching a new product a valuable strategy for Amazon sellers?
i am a bit of a vine hater to say the least you do need reviews but the difference between having three reviews and 30 reviews very very early on when you are first launching is negligible it realistically just is i have worked with clients that do not even have a hundred reviews on their product and yet they're getting over a hundred thousand dollars in sales per month
conversion rate is negligible under about 100 reviews or three digit reviews what matters more is your actual review rating and that is where vine in my opinion fails because the average vine review is about 4.1 to 4.2 stars whereas the average amazon customer review is going to be on about 4.5 to 4.7 so uh weird hiccup there but big thing i do think reviews are important i just think the early part of this is not so important at the end of the day
Now, third one, optimizing your existing listings. Okay, we do agree with listing optimization. Regularly update product photos, improve the content of your existing product listings, and leverage AI-powered A-plus content to create compelling listings that convert browsers into buyers. High-quality images and detailed descriptions help your products stand out in search results. Okay.
So first thing AI powered, what they're really pushing here is not so much a plus content, right? And if you click this, all it does is it basically just goes to the AI or to the a plus content guide, what it is, so on and so forth, how to use it. Um, I'm curious what they mean by leverage AI powered a plus content.
There's nothing you can really do that's AI related in A plus content outside of maybe utilizing AI to create the graphics for it. So not exactly sure what they mean by that, but AI is the buzzword of the century at this point in time. So I do approve of optimizing your listings. There's a lot more that goes into it than just A-plus content.
Obviously, you need to be looking at things such as your title, your bullet points, your description, your meta tags, or your backend keywords, I should say. All of those are going to help you with your SEO side. And then obviously, your main image CTR is going to be the biggest lever that you possibly have.
In fact, CTR is such a big lever at the end of the day that one of my dear colleagues over at SmartScout, Scott Needham, posted just the other day a brand new study that they had done, and I'll share this on my screen here, where essentially, if you're looking, top-clicked products in any Amazon search gets 18.5% of the sales. But this is cross millions of search terms.
So basically if you can increase your CTR and have the top, uh, top clicked product perspective for your CTR, you'll get upwards of 18% of the total market share for that keyword. So definitely something to focus on is your main image CTR. Uh, getting back into these, let's look, we have stay proactive during slow periods. This is not a tip. I, this is frankly just not a tip.
Create seasonal promotions, engage customers on social media and use quieter times to refine your listings and build customer relationships that drive repeat purchases. I will say them saying engage customers on social media is interesting. Amazon up until about the last six months or so has been very against the idea of trying to build off platform. Not necessarily. They do love
