Chapter 1: What are Abigoliah and Joe celebrating in this episode?
Happy New Year, patrons.
Happy New Year. We haven't even sound checked. We've just jumped straight in. Do I sound good?
Yeah, you sound good.
You sound good too. We're doing well so far.
There we go.
This will be the day that the book proper, I mean, the book's sort of been announced, but the way it's, when it's properly announced and cover reveal, everything like that today.
Yeah, it's going out on our socials. We're so excited about it. I mean, we have talked a good amount about the book, I feel like, on Patreon. But guys, we've poured our heart and soul into it. Let us have this one. So, Joe, why don't you tell everyone what we're doing today?
We are being interviewed about the book, but we have no one to interview us, so we're interviewing each other about the book.

Chapter 2: What insights do they share about their upcoming book?
We've each got five questions prepared.
In true NeuroDivergent Moments fashion, we decided to do this five minutes before we went on air. So, yeah, so we're just going to, yeah, do a little interview with each other.
Should we just give a sort of, for people who haven't been following the book, it is coming out on the 18th of June. It is 24 short autobiographical essays slash stories from our lives. They're sort of the neurodivergent moments that we do on the show, but we've made them into slightly longer, longest.
Yeah. And the pre-order link is available. I will, of course, as always, put it in the show notes.
And just to say the pre-orders matter. I realize now why I would always see authors banging on about pre-orders. And I think, why would I pre-order? I'll just buy it when it comes out. But pre-orders really help because you get that as like a chunk of sales in the first week. So hopefully we can. I just want to be 10th in the top 10, you know, just to just peek into that top 10.
I don't care how high we go.
So Joe and I have we've made the lofty goal of coming in to the charts. No, no pressure to buy the book. But if you wanted to buy the book, please do. And if you want to buy the book, if you preorder, what happens is everything that's preordered counts to the first week of sales. It's like, boom, all of a sudden you've sold 3000 books going from zero to 3000.
And that's how people jump in the charts.
How are you going to cope if we don't chart? I'm worried about you.

Chapter 3: How do Abigoliah and Joe plan to promote their book?
I set myself lofty goals like this for my career all the time, and none of them has ever come to fruition.
Okay. So you're going to be okay?
I'll be okay. It'll just be another thing I tried to do. And I, you know,
perfect i failed at abigail is always shooting for the moon and and uh and i land among the stars so so yeah so that that's my uh that's that's my whole thing is just for our pedantic listeners we know that's not how the moon and stars work right but it is before you reach the stars i've never really put all that together before i just know it's a saying
I almost thought I saw in the range once there was a sign that said friends are like stars. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they're not there. But that is the opposite of how stars work. Because you can see a star and it might not be there.
Well, of course, because they burn out and they take several light years to reach us. Did you write a strongly worded letter to the creator of that sign?
Write a letter to the rain shop. I should have done.
Before we get into the interview, one more bit of admin and then we will go on. And Joe, this is the first time you're hearing this as well. So this is what happens when we go. We have to do this quick.

Chapter 4: What challenges did they face during the writing process?
Just press record. I put a little poll on our Patreon asking if people would like the monthly bonus episode to be audio only or what they prefer, audio or video. And 90% of you prefer audio. So from now on, the bonus episode is going to be audio. And for the few of you who voted for video, I see you and appreciate you.
We've just lost 10% of our following.
Yeah. Well, the issue is, is there's only so much time to edit things a certain way. But just to remind everyone that you can watch all of our full episodes on Patreon on video. We do the unedited cut. And on YouTube, if you rather watch the show as opposed to listen to the show, it is on YouTube as well there. And is your lovely wife killing your child in the background?
I'm sure she's just, it'll be the most, yeah, there is blood curdling screams in the background, but that will be the most, not to invalidate her feelings, but it'll be the most minor thing. It'll be that she's been picked up or that she's not allowed to play with something dangerous. So she'll be unhappy about that.
She wants to play with that knife, damn it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And my horrible wife is not letting her.

Chapter 5: Why are pre-orders important for book sales?
Awful. All right. And on that happy note, should we delve in to our little interviews?
Yes. Shall I ask the first question?
Go for it.
This is quite a simple one. Which of your chapters you wrote in the book is your favorite chapter and why?
Thank you.
