This will be the day that the book proper, I mean, the book's sort of been announced, but the way it's, when it's properly announced and cover reveal, everything like that today.
Yeah, it's going out on our socials. We're so excited about it. I mean, we have talked a good amount about the book, I feel like, on Patreon. But guys, we've poured our heart and soul into it. Let us have this one. So, Joe, why don't you tell everyone what we're doing today?
We are being interviewed about the book, but we have no one to interview us, so we're interviewing each other about the book.
What insights do they share about their upcoming book?
We've each got five questions prepared.
In true NeuroDivergent Moments fashion, we decided to do this five minutes before we went on air. So, yeah, so we're just going to, yeah, do a little interview with each other.
Should we just give a sort of, for people who haven't been following the book, it is coming out on the 18th of June. It is 24 short autobiographical essays slash stories from our lives. They're sort of the neurodivergent moments that we do on the show, but we've made them into slightly longer, longest.
Yeah. And the pre-order link is available. I will, of course, as always, put it in the show notes.
And just to say the pre-orders matter. I realize now why I would always see authors banging on about pre-orders. And I think, why would I pre-order? I'll just buy it when it comes out. But pre-orders really help because you get that as like a chunk of sales in the first week. So hopefully we can. I just want to be 10th in the top 10, you know, just to just peek into that top 10. I don't care how high we go.
So Joe and I have we've made the lofty goal of coming in to the charts. No, no pressure to buy the book. But if you wanted to buy the book, please do. And if you want to buy the book, if you preorder, what happens is everything that's preordered counts to the first week of sales. It's like, boom, all of a sudden you've sold 3000 books going from zero to 3000. And that's how people jump in the charts.
How are you going to cope if we don't chart? I'm worried about you.

I set myself lofty goals like this for my career all the time, and none of them has ever come to fruition.

I'll be okay. It'll just be another thing I tried to do. And I, you know, perfect i failed at abigail is always shooting for the moon and and uh and i land among the stars so so yeah so that that's my uh that's that's my whole thing is just for our pedantic listeners we know that's not how the moon and stars work right but it is before you reach the stars i've never really put all that together before i just know it's a saying
I almost thought I saw in the range once there was a sign that said friends are like stars. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they're not there. But that is the opposite of how stars work. Because you can see a star and it might not be there.
Well, of course, because they burn out and they take several light years to reach us. Did you write a strongly worded letter to the creator of that sign?
Write a letter to the rain shop. I should have done.
Before we get into the interview, one more bit of admin and then we will go on. And Joe, this is the first time you're hearing this as well. So this is what happens when we go. We have to do this quick.
What challenges did they face during the writing process?
