He intended to kill President Trump with Thankfully, a security, a Secret Service agent noticed that there was a man hiding in the bushes with a rifle.
And thankfully, that Secret Service agent was able to fire four shots at him and and he fled. Well, they ended up catching him, but he fled on foot. And again, Martin County police actually were the ones that were able to get him later in the day.
After this incident, a year later, he was convicted on five federal criminal counts, first of which being attempting to kill a presidential candidate, a U.S. presidential candidate. Can't do that, right? Also some firearms offenses and also assaulting an agent. So... Liberals just want to say, just because you want to hurt President Trump, you can't. You will be held accountable.
Just because you want to assault agents, you can't, okay? This is against the law. You won't be able to do that. So that is good news. It is not justified to do that. These liberals are just delusional. Anyway, this crazy man was in court and he was kind of droning on and on about what a good dude he is. He was saying, you know, I've never drank. I've never smoked. I've never done drugs.
And he kind of was trying to paint himself out to be this patriot, like he was trying to make America a better place. And in his delusional opinion, he thought that if he could just kill Trump and take him out and Trump wouldn't be president, then I guess he would be able to to deliver that great America that that he was thinking of.

And speaking of jails, while they are still operational in Minneapolis, they are not operating at their full capacity, meaning they are not cooperating with federal agents. I don't know why the jails were operating with federal law enforcement when there was a Democrat in office and now they're not. It's a good question. Let me get to the bottom of that. Not. You know, in Minnesota, I look this up, jails are, they're not operated by the Mayor Frey, right? He actually has no jurisdiction over that. they're primarily operated on the local level by the county sheriff's offices, right? Not by the state government.

And we don't know for sure if he had intent to kill.
But we know for sure he wasn't peaceful. Did Alex Preddy have to die? No, he didn't have to die. But you have to be naive to think that Alex Preddy isn't guilty of any wrongdoing. And to Vice President Vance's point about hypotheticals, hypothetical questions, I mean, really what good do these questions do?
I know the media is trying to nail him down on the record with some kind of a gotcha question, but none of this is really up to him or me or you or any of us. It's up to the justice system now. So opinions about all of this is just media hubbub. Also media hubbub. is that ICE agents are all dangerous. All of their interactions are violent and things like that. You see polls now.
People are polling the American people. Oh, do you approve of ICE's tactics? And it's growing. The amount of Americans that say, ooh, I don't know, I don't know. I mean, listen, you all know how I feel about it, but...
I'm just saying the numbers are growing of Americans who are, ooh, in the event of Alex Petty's death and Rene Good's death, people are saying, well, I don't know about this, right? But that's not really the truth. People feel that way because they're being fed all of these videos and all of these headlines that are sensational. But that's not how 99.9% of the interactions are really going.
