I'm Jake Brennan, and on the Disgraceland podcast, I explore the wild lives of rock stars and unbelievable true crime stories from music history. These are the stories you haven't heard, the kind you'll end up telling someone else. Like the time Paul McCartney spent in a notorious prison or the bizarre crime Lady Gaga is accused of. Or that time Blondie's Debbie Harry escaped Ted Bundy. Listen to Disgraceland on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
J.E. Skeets 2:12
Good morning, sweet world, and welcome to the No Dunks podcast presented by FanDuel. It's Wednesday, July 8th, 2026. I'm J.E. Skeets here in the Classic Factory, and alongside me, as always, Tass Mellis. Podcast listeners! This is for you. Next to him, it's my top shot hot boy, Trey Kirby. Ayo. Ayo. And over yonder, making the magic happen, super producer, JD. Hello. There he is, nodding away. Hello to everybody on YouTube. Thanks for joining us. Hit the like button. Subscribe, podcast listeners. Five star ratings and reviews. We got a lot to get to on today's show. I know I say that a lot, but we actually do. Before we get into the first topic, though, congrats to our guide, Tim Bontemps, on officially joining the Atlanta Hawks front office.
J.E. Skeets 2:59
He's going to be a strategic advisor. A caca to you, good Timmy Goodtimes. Oh, I can't wait to hear Tim Bontemps drop a caca. I think that's what they have to do. You think he's going to say it now? That's part of the signing? Exactly. That's what he's going to walk into meetings with? Opens the door. Yeah. Nope. On to cause back.
Brendan Sorsby 3:17
Yes.
J.E. Skeets 3:18
That's how it is there. Congrats to Tim. Congrats. That's great. And I assume we'll be down here in the Atlanta area working for the Atlanta Hawks. That's exactly right. Open invite. He knows anytime he wants to come on and no dunks. Swing by the Classic Factory and tell us all of your plans, your strategic advice for the Atlanta Hawks. Huge news. Other news. Yesterday, last night. The Wizards are bringing back Chris Middleton on a three-year, $17.6 million deal by way of a sign-and-trade. Dallas is sending the 14-year vet to the Wizards as part of a larger six-team deal that includes, in total, the Mavericks, the Wizards, the Clippers, the Pistons, the Bucs, and the Grizzlies. It involves previously agreed-upon deals such as John Collins, Gary Harris, and Torian Prince all going to Detroit.
J.E. Skeets 4:08
Santi Aldama and Marcus Sasser are going to Dallas. Beef Stew and AJ Johnson are going to Memphis. Karis Levert is going to Milwaukee. And the Zards are also sending D'Angelo Russell and second-round picks to the Grizzlies.
