Chapter 1: What does *69 mean?
Shhh.
Nobody's listening, right? Hi, Andy.
Morning.
Morning. It is early morning.
Earliest we've ever taped, I think.
I must just say, welcome to Totally Married. Woo. My brain is not firing at all cylinders, but excited to talk to you for an hour as though no one's listening. I'd love to know that someone out there is listening.
Oh, man. A divorce lawyer in Canada is listening.

Chapter 2: How did answering machines change communication?
Oh, thank God. Can we have this person on? What's that called?
Retainer?
What's it? Speed dial.
Speed dial. Literally my fave podcast sent to you by patron St. Monica.
Oh, we forgot to put batteries in.

Chapter 3: What should you wear on a flight?
Darn it. I tell you, we need to invest in rechargeable batteries or something is how much we use that thing. In the kitchen, in the bedroom. I've said it once, I'll say it again. And I've listened to each episode multiple times.
Wow.
You're my anxiety-riddled mind's podcast version of The Office. I can re-listen many times and love it each time.
Eat your heart out, Greg Daniels.
As a divorce lawyer, I wish all married couples shared the compassionate and loving approach you take to each other, even when you're ribbing one another. It's with love and kindness.
Oh, that's so nice. So maybe we don't need them on speed dial.
It sounds like this divorce lawyer isn't that jaded. I would think if you're a divorce lawyer. Yeah, you're like. You would be like.
There's no point in any unions of any sort whatsoever.
This is refreshing to hear. It is refreshing. Thanks for the comment. I really like that.

Chapter 4: What are the thoughts on Christian influencers?
No, this was a landline situation. I think you're right there.
And so remind me, if someone called me and I was like, who was that calling? Even if, let's say someone called and I didn't even answer, right?
Yeah, I think it's the last call.
So I then pick up my phone and press star 69 and find out what the phone number was who was calling me.
If they were listed. Now, there were people, you know, back in the day that you could be unlisted. I feel like most people these days are unlisted.
What a flex to be unlisted.
Back in the day.
I think most people are not unlisted because doesn't unlisted, I mean, mean that if you're calling someone, your number's not coming up? There's no list anymore, first of all. You're talking about like the yellow pages.
I'm talking about the yellow pages or the white pages, which was for residential people, right? So everyone would be in the white pages. And if you're unlisted, that means your number wasn't in the database. I think these days, a lot of people opt out of being listed in a new sense of that term, sort of.

Chapter 5: Why are dog sweaters a fashion statement?
I don't. I wonder if, why do you think it's for Christmas?
Do you think that divorce lawyer has any opinions about what just happened?
They're based in Canada, so it's irrelevant. Okay. So I don't know why you think it must have been a Christmas gift. I don't think it was a Christmas gift.
Because it was like – I feel like that was – it was a big deal. It was one of the few – being children of the 80s, it was one of the – First times where the gift, I think, had to do with an experience and a thing. So it was like, you're also getting a phone line. Now, that probably cost all of, I don't know, 20 bucks or something.
What cost 20 bucks?
Getting your own line.
I think it was a lot more than you expected. And answering machines around that time were about $100, which back then was a lot.
So that's why I said Christmas. Well, yeah. Okay.
Listen, we, in my house, we didn't get it for Christmas, but I do recall the very first answering machine we got on our line. It was a Sony machine. And I can remember back in the day at, do they still have department stores? Yeah. Like Macy's or Dillard's.

Chapter 6: How do paper products impact the environment?
You're saying it without saying it. Do you see me as like an old... No, not at all.
That's the thing. Not at all. And I don't think you should change your outfit.
Don't I just look like a fun... Like this sweatshirt or sweater has a bit of whimsy.
Yes, it does.
A fun kind of preppy... Is that, am I right here?
I think so, yeah. I think I would say that.
I hope like somewhat attractive, I mean, who cares, but I do. You're very attractive. You know, like going on a trip, a cross country, you know, domestic flight. Yeah. I'm going to be on the plane for five and a half hours.
So I want to fight. That's a long flight.
I wanted to feel comfortable, but I also didn't want to wear like sweats.
