Chapter 1: What wild take did Elizabeth share that could jeopardize the podcast?
Sch.
Nobody's listening, right? Hi, Andy.
Hi.
I'm so excited to chat with you like no one's listening as we do.
Let's go.
Is anyone listening now?
Yeah, this is from Mama Molasses in Canada. Great handle. Found my people. I started listening to NLR when on a break from another go-to podcast. I'm a mom of two and I work as a freelance writer from home. So things can get a little quiet and lonely. Yes. Andy and Elizabeth, you have given me the water cooler drama and shameless eavesdropping I'm missing at an office.
I love having you in my ears week to week for company, laughs and a reminder to care just enough about the burning world that you don't let it take you down to the point of inaction. Cheers from Canada.
Oh my gosh, thank you! We're so happy to be your watercooler buddies. Please don't report us to HR. We would not get through that. We couldn't live to see another day if we were called into HR.

Chapter 2: How do we cope without hot water?
Du hast recht.
Nur verbal und was in deinem Kopf zu tun. Und du sendest keine offensiven E-Mails oder Grafiken. Ich spreche nicht.
Chapter 3: What are the latest concerns about earthquakes?
Ich stelle nicht eine Hand auf ein Knie oder so etwas.
Nein, es ist mehr nur deine Sicht auf das Leben. Mein Weltbild.
Do you know what I sometimes think is a pervious part of me though? Is that I'm seeing the world sometimes through the lens of what I think all men.
You're like in the conference meeting. You work in an ad agency, okay? You're in the conference meeting and the product is, I'm trying to think of what the product. Anyways, they're coming up with like a slogan for a new product. And it couldn't be more PG. It's totally fine. But you, Ich liebe Boxen. Yeah, so this is such a good example.
The members of Box City are sitting in a room trying to think of a name. No, it's a box company.

Chapter 4: What happened during a trip to CVS?
A design for the hat?
Yeah. Or no, it's even the name for their store.
Box City. Wait a minute.
But doesn't that sound like people could take it the wrong way? And so everyone's like, Elizabeth, we sell boxes.
Mom, Dad, Uncle Jimmy, I'm starting a new business. What is it? It's just going to be a huge fucking store where we sell cardboard boxes in every size you can imagine. Okay, interesting. Well, how are people going to know, like, what are you going to call it, first of all?
Box store.
Boxstore. Boxstore. Doesn't really flow off the mouth that well. Boxstore.
Boxco? Actually, Boxco is pretty good. It really has a ring to it. Wait, is there a Boxco already out there? What does Boxco make?
Are we about to become Boxmoguls?

Chapter 5: What parenting styles influence children's sports experiences?
Oh, I know who you're talking about.
You don't actually.
I do.
No, you don't.
Did they have a?
Nope.
Oh, okay. Different person. So in St. Louis on our street, on our lane was a family who was in funeral homes. Und es gab eine Art Racket mit dem Verkauf von Feierlichkeiten oder Kasketten, ich weiß nicht, aber es war echt schlecht. Und sie haben... Er wurde in den Klink gesetzt und dann... There was another family. People are doing shady shit with money.
I think there's always people doing shady shit. You know what? And I wish I had the answer for this because I saw this article pop up the other day and it was just like a question. What happens when a cemetery goes out of business? I wish I would have read it right now. Because what does happen when a cemetery or a funeral home... Like, what happens at that funeral home?
A funeral home, it just closes down. Because there's no bodies there? Yeah. You would assume they would take care of the last guest.

Chapter 6: How are new trends affecting family dynamics?
Oh yeah, maybe that's where I'm getting my wires crossed. But my day right now doesn't feel, I don't feel right in my body. I feel weird. Everything you've been talking about so far makes it even weirder. Do you know what I mean? Like weird vibes abound.
Yes.
Krusty.
Okay, on this note, you're not going to like this. The weird vibes. Yeah. I have been having these very strong feelings lately and I know there's been stuff in the news also that have been, it's not like this is just out of nowhere, but that like a huge earthquake is about to hit.
Oh, because what was the thing you were telling me yesterday or the day before? There's like a bunch of earthquakes.
Last week there were like a bunch of earthquakes up north and it made scientists concerned about the San Andreas Fault. But then other scientists were like, the way these fault lines work is like energy builds up and it has to be released. Like those could imply a big one's coming, but not necessarily any more than at any other point in time.
It's been a while since the big one, though.
It's been a minute. And I, like, even, obviously we're talking about it right now, I'm having this feeling of, like, you know, brace yourself, kind of, which actually is not what you're supposed to do.
You're supposed to be loosey-goosey?

Chapter 7: What unique questions arise about fidelity in relationships?
Oh, interesting, in all black.
And he didn't speak English that well, but he was trying to access the Tylenol.
Oh, was it in a locked off area?
Yeah, so he asked me if I would help him and initially I was like, oh, I don't work here, but I don't think he understood me. And everything is locked up now. It's so annoying.
Did they have the button though? Because I did the button two days ago. What, CVS, the one closest to us?
No, this is over by Starbucks.
Okay.
There was no button. It was like in an upper level kind of locked key box. But anyway, I did help him. I just went along with it. I went and helped him get a real employee. And to this day, I don't know if he thinks that I'm an employee of CBS or not.
Was he older or younger?
