Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Kristen Wright. It's a race against the clock to find missing survivors of the devastating flash flooding in Texas. Hope is fading at the same time. Today is day five of the search through remaining floodwaters and masses of wreckage and debris. The death toll has surpassed one hundred people. Most victims were in Kerr County. Many are now asking questions about whether the mass casualties could have been prevented. Officials in Texas are expected to give an update in about an hour.
