In the meantime, and in between time, let's go to our orders now headliner today for Will Hawk beef jerky. Others could try to imitate, but nobody could duplicate the great flavor of Wilhawk beef jerky, only available in Leduc, Alberta, part one of our two parter with Euler's GM Stan Bowman. Stan, thank you for joining us. Uh and you did do uh an extended uh availability today uh with the media and we've used some of that earlier on uh Oilers Now, but I I want to talk a bit about a philosophical approach, and I'm sure you've discussed it with Mike and the coaching staff on sort of how the team plays. And how the team's gonna play the same. stylistically, regardless if you're at even strength on the power play and on the penalty kill, because in the conversations that I've had with those guys, with Mike and DJ and s specifically, they've talked about playing with
Bob Stauffer 2:18
Pays and Temple. And І на бин ад. regardless of whether or not you're say on the power play on the PK.

How will the Oilers balance power‑play minutes between the top unit and the second unit?

Bob Stauffer 2:27
So is that part of the the team building that took place this year and some of the the guys you added came from that place?
Stan Bowman 2:33
Yeah, I think in talking to Mike, looking at how we can improve uh the one thing is stylistically we want to be much more of a high pressure game all over the ice. When you don't have the puck, get it back. Play fast. Um part of that is skating fast, but playing fast isn't always just the fastest skaters. I mean that's an element of it, but it's Always being on your toes, pressuring the puck. But you have to do that and there's a lot of work involved in that. There's a you gotta put your work boots on, um, fore check, track back, um, pressure. If you do that, you allow your defense to stand up more, if you have pressure coming back and when you do that you force more dump ins and when you force more dump ins you don't spend a lot of time on your own end.
Stan Bowman 3:22
When you don't have back pressure, your d has to back in. You allow easy zone entries and You may not give up odd man chances, but you give up territory and then you're defending and you're in the D zone. And that's not what we want, so. we did talk about how are we gonna build this team so that we can play that high pressure style of hockey. And Mike is all all on board with that. He's Um Spending his time over the summer with the coaching staff, preparing. Tactically how we're gonna instill that into the system of play. And then look, this isn't rocket science. It's not that complicated. But the habits that you build, um and the things that you harp on day in, day out, And in the moment of games when you reward players that are doing it and you
