On this weeks episode of One For The Road I am joined by Justin Bone, a recovering alcoholic who has been sober for more than 3,000 days. Once one of the fastest young athletes in England, setting a county sprint record that still stands, his early life was full of promise, discipline, and success. But when his athletic career ended, he filled the void with drink, drugs, and the nightlife industry, spending 25 years running bars, clubs, and restaurants while slowly losing control.At his lowest point, Justin was homeless, living in a garage with no water or electricity, drinking multiple bottles of wine a day. That’s where his recovery began, attending 135 AA meetings in 100 days, starting each morning at the gym, and gradually rebuilding his self-respect. In that garage, he rebuilt not just his body but his life.Today, Justin is over seven years sober, vegan, and passionate about fitness, yoga, and plant-based living. Alongside his partner Natalie, he founded Vetomeato, a plant-based food brand, and Super Sober Life, an initiative to inspire others to choose health, self-care, and purpose over addiction.
