Chapter 4: What is the significance of Ryan Fitzpatrick's appearance?
And I think Aaron Rodgers might be back, the old gunslinger. And the Steelers win yet again on Monday Night Football. They have not lost, what is it, 16-0 at home? Something ridiculous. Well, all right. It's interesting you brought that up. First of all— 23 straight Monday Night Football home wins. Wednesday, though, right? Wednesday.
I wanted to glaze the Steelers right off the bat, but since we're diving into the streak right now, I'm forced to get into this for a second. They lost on Monday night. They did. Was it Monday night? It was Monday night. It was maybe not Monday night, Monday evening football. I think the game kicked off at 5 p.m. But was it Monday night football? The game kicked off Monday evening, 5 p.m.
in 2020. The Washington football team beat the Steelers, who I believe were undefeated at the time. They were 11-0. Technically not Monday night football because it was a delayed game because of COVID. Got it. But it was on Monday night. But it didn't have the Monday night football graphics. Did not have the graphics. Did not have the pageantry. So that's the stat.
They probably didn't even play Renegade. So there are 23 straight home wins with the Monday Night Football graphic. Correct. I think it's since 1991. I started looking back through their schedule over the years, and something jumped off the page to me. So I had StatHole look it up. And again, I think the Steelers, this is the year they're going to win a playoff game. I've said it all year.
You have. And I'm starting to believe if they can play the Chargers. That's exactly what I told you. I said if they can get that matchup, I feel like they could win that one. I don't know if they're going to get that matchup. I looked at the schedule throughout the years, and then I had StatHole actually look it up to confirm what I thought I was seeing.
The NFL has engineered this streak for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The win-loss record, the winning percentage of opponents that the Steelers have played during the streak on Monday Night Football is 40%. That is by far... the weakest schedule of any team that's played on Monday Night Football. Well, a couple of those percentage points come in because the Steelers beat them. That is true.
But then I had Sathol look it up again and see what were those teams' winning percentages the year before. Got it. When they made the schedule. Steelers, again, easiest Monday Night Football schedule in the league. Oh, man. They're tilting the scales. I get it. I feel like you've got to play ball with the Roonies sometimes.
And they know that Monday Night Football is good for the brand to see the Steelers winning at home under the lights. I'm not trying to take away from what the Steelers did last night because I feel like they're coming into form at the right time. I just saw the talk about the streak, and I had to look into it deeper.
The second lowest opposing winning percentage on Monday Night Football is the Buffalo Bills, and they're 46%. The Steelers are far and away the easiest schedule. To put that in perspective, too, the Patriots' schedule this year is about 400. So that's what you're looking at. Got it. Yeah, about 20... About 24 years of the Patriots schedule.

And by the way, we haven't said this yet. Next week, we'll have a show Monday, Wednesday. No show Friday, because Christmas is on Thursday. We're not going to tape on Thursday night. Then the following week, we'll have a show Monday. So regular Sunday recap. So we'll have a show Monday and then Friday on January 2nd. So it'll be two shows each week for the next two weeks.
So we're going to miss a Friday and then we're going to miss a Wednesday. But we're going to have new shows. New Year's Eve and the day after Christmas. Yes.
Chapter 6: How do the hosts plan to add holiday cheer to the studio?
Those will be no show days. Those will be no show days. Zach, here's an idea. Because we were talking scheduling outside, and it is a crazy week. And I know we have some PMTV ideas. What if we pivot and the PMTV this week is you going out and shopping for some holiday cheer for the studio? We can do that. We can get festive. Could you holiday cheer it up?

I don't have a tree currently in my current apartment, but I do like a real tree when you can do it. Yeah. These Christmas tree farms are taxing nowadays, so sometimes you can't do it. But when you can do it, great idea. I saw the Swedish tradition online yesterday. This guy posted a picture. He said that he's a divorced dad and he doesn't have a lot of traditions with his son.
And one of the traditions is finding the worst possible tree at the lot every year. And it was like the stumpiest, grossest tree. But it was like such a cute tradition. That's cool. Yeah. We're trying to have some fun with it. Listen, as a former Christmas tree salesman, you need guys like those to get rid of the last inventory. Yeah. They've got great personalities. Yeah. Okay.
