We have a couple Charlie Kirk related updates to share here. First, outside of the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix, there's a statue of Charlie Kirk. And that statue was vandalized, sprayed on with red paint. There's also a sign behind the statue with a picture of Charlie's face, and they put a big X through the face and they crossed out the word Jesus.

The sign says, May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus, our loving Savior. They also sprayed paint over the neck of Charlie Kirk on that painting. This is just after the one year anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination. Attorney Point says of course they're gonna restore the statue and replace the sign. Look at um security camera footage and give it to law enforcement, hold everyone accountable as they should. I look forward to seeing who did it. Think we could all picture the kind of person who would do such a thing and we'll see how right we are when the picture ultimately comes out. When it comes to the murderer. A Utah judge said that he will stand trial and he will be eligible for the death penalty.

So the assassins, the murderers, lawyers say that this murder did not endanger anyone else. It didn't endanger anyone around Charlie Kirk. So the options that this judge had is if they could try him for murder, which would carry a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of a life. His lawyer again says we we only like murder is m like all we want is the murder. Right? Because it was one shot, one bullet, one victim, and no evidence that any effort was made towards injuring any other people. The prosecution, the state, says, Well, this was a shot taken from 400 feet away with a huge crowd of people. And he could have missed or injured or killed other people. The uh murderers, lawyers, they've never said he didn't do it. They've never made that argument. The goal is to tr first of all try to avoid a trial entirely, but then to get the death penalty off the table and they're f they've failed so far on both those accounts. I was reading an article and it said Charlie Kirk's mom and dad and Erica were in the courtroom and so were the murderers.

How can you be in the same courtroom like that? I wanna talk about the death penalty at the end of the episode. But uh th uh there's still some more that needs to be said about the one year anniversary. NPR had an article about Utah Valley University. The headline is Neighbor turned on neighbor after Charlie Kirk's killing is the divide here to stay. This is so great. This is this is raid, it's the classic victimhood formulation that the left, the media, the lame stream does all the time. The New York Times did it the other day, uh talking about the real victims of September 11th, Muslims in America, Islamophobia.
