Welcome back to another episode of the Private Practice Success Stories podcast. I'm your host, Jenna Kaster Kasbon, and I'm so excited for you to meet today's guests, Jane Holman and Josie Friedman. Jane and Josie are speech language pathologists and the co-founders of Comprehensive Communication Partners, a private practice serving adults in the Chicagoland area. Jane and Josie met while working at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, which is one of the most prestigious rehabilitation hospitals in the world. In theory, they both had their dream jobs, but that didn't make them immune to burnout.
And so they started talking about starting a private practice together. One day. Fast forward about two years later, and they finally decided to join the Start Your Private Practice program to help them get their private practice off the ground. This conversation is about what it actually looks like to build an adult-focused private practice in a world that's mostly pediatrics. We also talk about what makes a business partnership actually work when you're also close friends. And why, in the beginning, saying yes to almost everything.
