Why is time management crucial for SLPs and OTs in private practice?
Starting a private practice isn't what it used to be. Today's clinicians are starting private practices much quicker, easier, and cheaper than before. And they aren't guessing their way through it or getting stuck in analysis paralysis, they're following a tried-and-trude roadmap in order to save time, money, and frustration. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel or struggle to figure out how to start a private practice on your own. We've helped thousands of SLPs and OTs through this process and now we want to help you too. For a limited time, I'm offering a free copy of our private practice roadmap, specifically for SLPs and OTs who are curious about private practice and want to see what the journey looks like.

If so, this episode is going to be great for you to listen to. Julie Perra and Teresa Harp are both speech language pathologists who sat down with me to share their experience and insights on the intersection of time management and private practice. In this episode, Julie shares her journey in the Grow Your Private Practice program after transitioning from a public school setting to her own private practice, which was driven by her desire for a more manageable workload and better work-life balance. Teresa, a former private practitioner and productivity coach, shares how she combines practical systems with cognitive strategies to help SLPs and OTs feel low.
overwhelmed and more in control. If you've been thinking about improving your time management and you want to implement more effective systems in your private practice, this is a must-listen episode, so stay tuned. I'm Jenna Castro-Kazvan, CEO of the Independent Clinician and founder of Private Practice School. First, I started my own private practice. And then over the past 15 years, I've worked with over 10,000 SLPs and OTs to start and grow their successful private practices so they can have more freedom, flexibility, fulfillment, and finances. I created the Private Practice Success Stories podcast. to share what's possible for you, your family, your clients, and your community when you choose private practice.
We'll share everything from small private practice side hustles to flexible lifestyle private practices to traditional brick and mortar practices and everything in between. You'll meet regular clinicians, just like you, who followed our steps and are now living their private practice dreams. If they can do it, you can do it too. So let's get started. All right, so we're gonna do something really fun today, which is to actually have a conversation about time management and private practice with three different people, one of them being myself. And then we have two amazing other people who are on our discussion here who all have different aspects about private practice that they have experienced. And again, what we're gonna be talking about is time management.
So I'd actually like Teresa, do you mind introducing yourself first and then
we'll go from there. Yeah, absolutely. So my name is Teresa Harp. I am an SLP and a productivity coach. And right now I work with other SLPs on how to improve their work-life balance.
Julie. And I'm Julie Perra. I'm a speech language pathologist for about 25 years now. And about five years ago, I started my own private practice. And I have worked with Jenna's program, Grow Your Private Practice, and also recently finished a 12-week coaching stretch with Teresa.
Love it. And I'm Jenna Castro Kazbaum. I'm a private practice business coach for SLPs and OTs in helping at all stages of the private practice journey from starting to growing to scaling. And one thing I see all the time that comes up is time management and people. As they're kind of getting started in private practice, or certainly as their practices are growing, these issues of feeling like you don't have enough time or you've got too much stuff to do and that kind of thing certainly enter into the equation.
