What is a lifestyle private practice and how does it differ from the traditional model?
Starting a private practice isn't what it used to be. Today's clinicians are starting private practices much quicker, easier, and cheaper than before. And they aren't guessing their way through it or getting stuck in analysis paralysis, they're following a tried and true roadmap in order to save time, money, and frustration. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel or struggle to figure out how to start a private practice on your own. We've helped thousands of SLPs and OTs through this process and now we want to help you too. For a limited time, I'm offering a free copy of our private practice roadmap, specifically for SLPs and OTs who are curious about private practice and want to see what the journey looks like.

What if I told you that the traditional private practice model, the one where you hire a team, open a big clinic, and see as many clients as humanly possible isn't actually what most people want anymore? And what if I told you there's a better way? A way to work just three to four days a week, a way to hit six figures without burnout, and a way to build a business that fits your life instead of taking over your life. Sounds almost too good to be true, right? Well, I'm here to tell you that it's not only possible, but it's happening right now. Clinicians just like you are breaking free from the traditional model and building lifestyle private practices.
Flexible, highly profitable businesses designed around their life and not the other way around. And today I'm going to show you exactly how you can do Do the same, so stay tuned.
Why do more clients and staff not always equal growth for clinicians?
I'm Jenna Castro-Kasbon, speech language pathologist, business coach, and creator of the Start Your Private Practice System. And I'm on a mission to turn stuck SLPs into successful private practitioners. If you're tired of dealing with high productivity requirements, high caseload sizes, and low pay, it's time to take control of your professional, personal, and financial life and finally get the freedom, flexibility, and financial abundance that you deserve by working with private clients in your own practice. Join me here each week as I share tips, best practices, and inspirational interviews on the Private Practice Success Stories podcast. If you're a private practitioner or one in the making, you're in the right place, so let's get started.
Fifteen years ago when I started helping SLPs and OTs launch their own private practices, things were much different. The goal was simple, help clinicians break free from the red tape of schools, hospitals, and agencies by starting small private practices that were on the side, mostly private pay, and all with low overhead. No need to quit your job overnight. No need to go all in on a clinic right away. Just start now and build when you're ready. And it worked. Over 3,500 SLPs and OTs, maybe including you, have used what we've taught in the Start Your Private Practice program to successfully launch their own private practices. But here's where things start to get interesting. As they grew, they started asking things like, okay, now what?
Should I hire? Should I expand? Should I open a big clinic?
What are the three pillars that support a profitable lifestyle private practice?
So as a result, we created the Grow Your Private Practice program to help them do exactly that. Hire, expand, and scale in a traditional way. And for some, it was the perfect fit. But for most people, they kept saying things like, they didn't want a big clinic. They didn't want to manage a huge team. And they didn't want more stress just to make more money. Instead, they wanted what I'm now calling a lifestyle private practice, where they could work three to four days a week, hit six figures or more a year, and still have plenty of time for family, vacations, and actual life. And that's when I had my aha moment. Half of the people in the Grow Your Private Practice program weren't actually growing their practices in the traditional sense.
We were actually helping them create lifestyle private practices.
