Starting a private practice isn't what it used to be. Today's clinicians are starting private practices much quicker, easier, and cheaper than before. And they aren't guessing their way through it or getting stuck in analysis paralysis, they're following a tried-and-trude roadmap in order to save time, money, and frustration. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel or struggle to figure out how to start a private practice on your own. We've helped thousands of SLPs and OTs through this process and now we want to help you too. For a limited time, I'm offering a free copy of our private practice roadmap, specifically for SLPs and OTs who are curious about private practice and want to see what the journey looks like.

Today I'm going to be sharing my private practice predictions for 2024. And specifically what I'm going to talk about is how to thrive in a changing economic landscape. In today's episode, I'm gonna make three big predictions that you're gonna wanna know. I'll give a hint for one of them: the importance of diversification of income. So whether you already have a private practice and you wanna make sure that you're set up for success, or you're planning on starting a private practice this year, make sure you listen to the whole episode.
I'm Jenna Castro-Kasbon, speech language pathologist, business coach, and creator of the Start Your Private Practice System. And I'm on a mission to turn stuck SLPs into successful private practitioners. If you're tired of dealing with high productivity requirements, high caseload sizes, and low pay, it's time to take control of your professional, personal, and financial life and finally get the freedom, flexibility, and financial abundance that you deserve by working with private clients in your own practice. Join me here each week as I share tips, best practices, and inspirational interviews on the Private Practice Success Stories podcast. If you're a private practitioner or one in the making, you're in the right place, so let's get started.
All right, welcome to the first episode of the new year. I cannot believe that it's twenty twenty four and that this is episode two hundred and fifty-one, which is pretty cool. When I first logged this podcast back in 2019, I was hoping that people would be interested in listening and also be willing to be guests. And let's just say that I have been completely blown away by our guests and our listeners. And I'm very proud to be filling the gap in private practice education for speech language pathologists and occupational therapists. Now, some of you may not know this, but I've been doing this for a long time. I started I started my own private practice back in 2006, and then I started the Independent Clinician, my business education company, back in 2008.
So if you've just heard about me in the last few years or even few months, I have longevity in this space. And with that comes perspective. And today I really want to share this perspective with you to help you navigate your next year of private practice. I tell my students in the start and grow your private practice programs all the time about how business isn't something that you learn once. Just like you're a lifelong learner for clinical education, it's important to invest in being a lifelong learner for your business education. And one of the reasons is because this landscape of practice changes every few years, and you need to be prepared and know how to navigate the ups and downs, the feasts and famine cycles, and different positive and negative trends when it comes to things like finances, marketing, hiring, and more.
So I know what I'm talking about, and no matter where you are in the private practice journey, I know that the information that I'm about to share can really help you. Before I get into the predictions, I want to give you a quick update on our programs and how we plan to support even more private practitioners this year.
