Jena Castro-Casbon 0:00
Starting a private practice isn't what it used to be. Today's clinicians are starting private practices much quicker, easier, and cheaper than before. And they aren't guessing their way through it or getting stuck in analysis paralysis, they're following a tried-and-trude roadmap in order to save time, money, and frustration. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel or struggle to figure out how to start a private practice on your own. We've helped thousands of SLPs and OTs through this process and now we want to help you too. For a limited time, I'm offering a free copy of our private practice roadmap, specifically for SLPs and OTs who are curious about private practice and want to see what the journey looks like.

Having a business partnership as part of your private practice and also this idea of multiple streams of income. But before we get to those topics, can y'all Please share briefly kind of maybe how you got started in the profession and when did you start thinking about private practice?
Mindy Hudon 3:48
So I don't know how much time you have, but I've been doing this for 30 years. So I've gone through a lot of different kinds of things that I've done. I originally started out in the medical field and loved it. That was kind of my wheelhouse. I was a clinical dysphagia specialist for a hospital. And I also had pediatric outpatients and adult outpatients that I worked with, which I absolutely loved. I did that for a while until I got pregnant with twins and I wanted to be part-time, but my new director didn't want me to be part-time.
